Mae was THE best VA of the show cause she's actually a VA.
Mary was dick and needs better direction
What's up with Netflix animated series and having really weak-sounding, whispery voice acting? The same thing happened in the Castlevania series, everyone sounds like they're recording their lines in the middle of the night while trying not to wake up their parents in the next room. Not only does it sound bad, it creates a massive disconnect between the animation and the voice acting that makes them feel like two separate elements rather than one coherent whole.
I get that when it comes to animated projects they'll hire big name actors for the sake of it. Rather than getting someone of that particular talent. I just wonder why they at least don't practice or get coached in that way of acting? I suppose it's too much to bother worrying about than letting said star deliver a mediocre performance so long as their name is stamped on it.
>marketing makes you think we finally start a legit comic adaption >goes off the rails at the start of Ep2 then spends 90% of the show focused around the love interest instead of the titular protagonist >references the movie far more than anything out of the comic
an 8 ep show on Shitflix with no talks of a 2nd season, shoulda saw it as the red flag it was.
Jesus fucking Christ, man...
I know.. UGH I know.. IM SORRY! It's just that they don't sound like they're in their early 20s is all.
Sounds like their voices are ruined just like white people
Ay why did they make his sister cute?
That's just Scott with long hair
Don't be gay
FUCK you’re right
Julie for me then
>That's just Scott but cute and a girl
Nothing gay about it.
Thicc eyebrows are a sign of cuteness
>I get to stare at his ass all day
K I N O

Built for incest.
Well the voice acting WAS the weakest part.
Overall pretty fun.

tbh direction. Also, cast has too many bigger actors and their time costs money now.

Her?
Way to act, Plant.
The high guardian spice effect
always was
kinda funny how the best VA was the one working in VA'ing already
I think with anime, its typical for the voices to be done after the animation is complete, so the VA's can act along with the animation.
The JP team did the storyboarding too so I assume the ENG VA's only had the script to work with.
personally, the mediocre VA work is part of the charm.
Hiring big name actors to do VA has always been a total meme. I don't care that they did the movie
