I remember when he used his gadgets to see through Ghostfreak's invisibility and negate his intangibility, never mind tracking Ben down by tracking the Omnitrix energy. I always thought he was cool, plus his species come from the same planet as Ripjaws but we never saw them fight underwater, so many missed opportunities.
He's treated surprisingly well in the reboot. He managed to shatter textrax's arm and they gave him some of his sass back after af and ov removed it.
Well I can at least appreciate that the reboot treated Krabb well, god knows he deserves it. I remember thinking Ghostfreak was OP, but then in Hunted Krabb just wrecks his shit in a few moments. Considering Zs'Skayr was treated like a major threat, they should've used the foam that Krabb used to neutralize him.

Agreed. It was cool to see how an actual member of the species would act and think and what they may have had going on as a species. I always kind of hoped he'd pick up some tricks and moves from seeing one of them in action. They'd probably know how to use their species powers and abilities much better than he would since he only had them for ten minutes at a time so it could lead to some interesting on the field teaching.
There’s also the whole “walk a mile in their shoes” thing where he uses it to really connect with or learn about another species. Like when Ben turns into Big Chill to talk with the other necrofriggians, and when he learns that Rath has been running around butt ass naked cause of the other Appoplexians.
I dunno if its the angle of the camera but it seems that Pico is also sitting on the driver's seat too, which is kind of weird all in all(well already weird considering the premise and the knowing conclusion).

On her looking different, one of the creators said Gwen's mushroom shirt was changed because CN wanted to avoid any drug connotations. I imagine they might've changed her hair after the pilot/animation test because it was hard to draw (ponytail physics, keeping track of which side the curl is on, etc.). Depending on how far that was into changing them into cousins, they could've also altered the hair to make it look more like Ben's as a way of connecting them more, I dunno. Ink Tank did a video on it.

Well Ben does constantly acknowledge her having a big butt, not only does she develop early but puberty hits her like a ton of bricks in the future. Also since she's an Anodite she's basically immortal, she can make any appearance she wants, so you could potentially have petite adult Gwen once she masters her Anodite powers.

The idea of giving Albedo his own version of the UAF trio is something I’ve thought about. In my mind it would be him, Argit, and Charmcaster who all team up to do crimes together. Either that or it’s a spin on “Superior Spider-Man” where Albedo wants to prove he’s better than Ben at being a hero so he makes his trio to outdo him
Argits not that evil, he just likes money and to be seen as important which if memory serves he got in Omniverse when everyone thought he was some big hero or something and he actually did try to be better once people liked him.
Yeah Argit takes out a Waybad and starts a, albeit a little shady, security company. That’s why I’m thinking Albedo gets with him and Charmcaster to show that he’s much more competent than Ben. If Alien X is part of the Omnitrix, why shouldn't an Anodite? Could be either him taking the DNA from Gwen or his Grandma even.
I have a personal headcanon that Anodites do have DNA but it's mostly made of magic bullshit that the Omnitrix can't read.
It can read Celestialsapien DNA because it's a universal constant that just takes a very long time to sequence/process.
Other aliens that are made of energy, sound and whatnot can be read because they still obey the fundamental laws of the universe while Anodites straight up ignore it.

I always liked this line up of aliens the most. They all kind of had unique stuff going on. I would have liked to see some aliens like Ripjaws used more often than just by accident but I liked how Ben would have to deal with those accidental transformations and having aliens that weren't great for every opportunity was a nice balance.
As someone who used to love the OS as a kid but could never get into the later series because I hated the changes and retcons, is it worth trying again to watch any more of the show?
If you only care about Ben and friends beating up and befriending aliens then there shouldn't be a problem.
But personally, the changes are too much for me to enjoy.
The Plumbers were ruined, magic was ruined, Kevin was not as good as he should be, Alien X sucks and so does his species, ect.

On her looking different, one of the creators said Gwen's mushroom shirt was changed because CN wanted to avoid any drug connotations. I imagine they might've changed her hair after the pilot/animation test because it was hard to draw (ponytail physics, keeping track of which side the curl is on, etc.). Depending on how far that was into changing them into cousins, they could've also altered the hair to make it look more like Ben's as a way of connecting them more, I dunno. Ink Tank did a video on it.

Argits not that evil, he just likes money and to be seen as important which if memory serves he got in Omniverse when everyone thought he was some big hero or something and he actually did try to be better once people liked him.
Yeah Argit takes out a Waybad and starts a, albeit a little shady, security company. That’s why I’m thinking Albedo gets with him and Charmcaster to show that he’s much more competent than Ben. I have a personal headcanon that Anodites do have DNA but it's mostly made of magic bullshit that the Omnitrix can't read.
It can read Celestialsapien DNA because it's a universal constant that just takes a very long time to sequence/process.
Other aliens that are made of energy, sound and whatnot can be read because they still obey the fundamental laws of the universe while Anodites straight up ignore it.

I always liked this line up of aliens the most. They all kind of had unique stuff going on. I would have liked to see some aliens like Ripjaws used more often than just by accident but I liked how Ben would have to deal with those accidental transformations and having aliens that weren't great for every opportunity was a nice balance.

It's a great show. At least the OS is. The sequel series' are kind of whatever imo
