I think the weirdest part is irl his oldest son (LeBron Jr., nothing narcissistic about that) is on track to play basketball for a living and LeBron Sr. is trying to keep playing long enough that they would be teammates, showing he's pretty invested in it. Which is the very behavior that's portrayed negatively in character in the movie. I wonder if he even read the script tbh.
