If Batman accidentally killed a goon, would he turn himself in? Would he accept justice or elude the police to keep fighting crime?

Bruce Wayne taking the lives of terrorists breaking into his home out of self defense is NOT the same thing as Batman carelessly letting a man die.

Just recently Batman's been fighting a going train going under a tunnel and the goon's head gets lopped off. No problem with it there.

              >"Duck."
              >Goon looks confused before dying anyway, thinking it was his answer, and not good advise
Missed opportunity. Bruce doesn't do as much deadpan/grim humor as he used to.

Not killing, this isn’t even killing in self defense. No jury would convict for this.
      >when he shot me, I deflected the bullet. It ricocheted into another guy
Not his responsibility, fault lies with the guy who fired the bullet in the first place

You mean like he did in the 80's all the time, late 80's Batman was always on that I won't kill you but don't have to save you shit, I mean Alan Grant run was full of it. Which I personally like, he won't directly kill but if you get kill fighting him, that's your fault.

      No.

Not him but here's another; Batman kicks the mutated Ubu to his death. He's not happy about it, but he's not going to stew about it and regret it. It was just a matter of survival.

            >look out, man!
I miss the humanity that 70s- 80s writers put into the dialogue. Stuff like this, or cap referring to his allies as "brother," is much better than the stoic, robotic hero.

He'd seek penance in some way. Consult Gordon on what he'd want. Find the person's family and loved ones and apologize and try to make it up to them.

lol. This "muh every life counts" is relatively new moral gayry strictly used to justify the Joker not dying. Batman doesn't kill people but leaving them for dead or letting them kill themselves used to be fair game

I’ve said it before, Batman’s no kill code has been forced to reach near autistic levels of perfectionism simply to justify why he never kills Joker. In the old days Batman could allow people to die in self defense or as a hazard of the job, he just never killed any directly via execution. He didn’t believe in exacting justice through lethal punishment, but he still understood that an innocent life needed to be protected at any cost and if it came down to it he may have to choose. But because every writer wants to write the next big Joker story where he massacres 200 people and causes irreversible damage to Batman’s life, they keep having to create bigger and crazier moral contrivances for Batman’s code to let him get away and it’s turned the kill code into a farce that’s in fact more morally irresponsible than killing.

Didn't Bill Finger even say that it made no sense for a man claiming to "wage war on all crime" to not kill the worst criminals?

Batman should admit that he doesn't actually give a flying fuck about the sanctity of life and really just wants to keep playing with Joker forever and ever like the literal manchild he is. Then the comic can continue in perpetuity with no changes to the status quo. Joker breaks out, Batman punches him back into Arkham, rinse and repeat just like before. The only difference is we will know that Batman is just going through the motions and keeping up the thin veneer of heroism to justify his life's passion against committing acts of violence against his lessers. People say that Batman isn't allowed to be happy, but the truth is that Batman is always happy, because he gets to punch poor people and the mentally ill in the face every night, and everyone loves him for doing it.

Superman will never be human, no matter how hard he tries. Both Batman and Superman are afraid of the truth.

He was simultaneously the one who told Gordon not to. He was trying to persuade Gordon to stop without having to resort to violence.

There was a character for this: Bad Cop. Bruce locked the guy in an Arkham cell for the rest of his life right next to Joker (the guy who killed his wife and drove him insane)

Do people have a problem with no guns? It seems like almost an accessory rule. Batman uses batarangs and weird gadgets anyway.

Only became a thing in the due to tv writers and commies on the early 00s Batbooks like Rucka and Nocenti. It was an intentional misread of the DKR #4 monologue where Batman shouts to a rioting mob that using guns were cowardly, ignoring the fact that he uses guns before and during the issue, as well as the fact that Batman was speaking to the rioting crowd in general to end the senseless looting.
Also, anecdote, Ninja Batman is fucking gay. He should know the martial arts so he can disable martial artists, but he should primarily be John Wayning that shit with brawler punches and judo throws. The disappearing act/smoke pellets were about making him similar to a stage magician originally.

Here's the thing — Batman doesn't kill because of trauma. If he were to kill a goon by accident, he would turn himself in immediately.
