For as much as dreamworks gets shit on, I feel like they'd have at least some integrity and keep their best franchise out of a hypothetical minions x dreamworks crossover, maybe they'd use something like the boss baby or trolls since those were poorly received by audiences outside of babies but who knows
Not sure, the lines separating the two start to become blurred when you cross them. DreamWorks focuses on loud, in your face, pop-culture heavy stories and visuals that attract kids who want to feel mature, while Illumination focuses on soft, subtle, safe stories and visuals for parents that want to feel content. Any story they tell would have to address both styles of filmmaking.
Unrelated to the thread but I got something from an unnannounced illumination movie and I've been waiting for the right time to share it. This probably won't release for awhile

Illumination is DreamWorks but without the cool stuff, it's just the crashgrab part.

Illumination is more "vaguely droll and mischievous with a odd edgy hipster celb in the cast or soundtrack"

Illumination has never made a good movie and never will.
Anon, can't you leak some Lorax stuff? I've been waiting for 11 years to see the rest of the Biggering draft.
Do you have anything from the Mario Movie?
Illumination's CEO literally runs DreamWorks now, dipshit.
