        >OMD and post-OMD is canon
        No.
I didn't read anything beyond that, so if you want to crop out all the non-canon stuff and try again, I'll give it a read.

What kind of dumbass Bendisgay wrote this?

Yes because it'd make Miles look better. Because Miles just can't be good on his own, we must tear down every other spiderman to make him look good. Miles is the affirmative action of Superheroes.

    In those movies?
Peter would kick a puppy so that Miles could so "I'ma do the right thing" and feed the puppy.
Silver Surfer would show up to say "War is totally the best and everyone should do it all the time" so Miles could say "Nah, peace is pretty cool"

If Miguel told him that he had to let Miles frick MJ and finish inside her to save the multiverse, he'd be lighting candles and putting Marvin Gaye on before Miguel's even done talking, and then he'd look for some tweezers to jerk his tiny, tiny penis while he watches.

Peter in the first film is a completely different character from the second film

It's almost like he's happier because he's back together with his wife and has a kid.

      Naaaaah, that's just dumb.

Why should I even debate with you when that's not even remotely what I meant. Your last line shows me you're too stupid to even explain to so that gives me relief

Then what the frick did you mean?

He means that the entire through line of peters character in the first film was being afraid of having a family because he’d put them in danger than he willingly and continually put his daughter in danger through out this movie

              >he willingly and continually put his daughter in danger through out this movie

What was he supposed to do? The kid has spider-powers. He's better equipped to keep her out of trouble than MJ is. And he didn't really endanger Mayday. The only action scene he's involved with is the big chase, he barely participates in it and ducks out to talk with Miles in private, and having Mayday with him is why he doesn't stop Miguel from tearing into the GTFO Machine. At which part of the movie is she in actual danger?

                >he didn’t endanger mayday
                >he just took her onto the roof of a train going sub sonic speed
Why is he taking her along at the end of the movie? Wouldn’t he be more useful if he WASN’T taking his child into a fight against a being of colossal power? How does it gel with his ENTIRE initial character arc about ruining his life because he was worried about putting his potential family in danger? He wasn’t cool in the movie, he wasn’t funny or endearing, he was just a b***h to be spoken down to throughout the whole second movie

Why the frick is he taking her AGAIN at the end of the movie when they KNOW they'll have to fight Miguel and his Spider-cult to save Miles?

Peter already got his trauma conga line, recovered, and got his happy ending.

He wouldn't even hesitate. Miguel would even say, "You can do it gently. With an injection or a helium trap, something like that," but Peter wouldn't need that.
He'd lay her down on her back and just start hammering her face, blood squirting everywhere, an eyeball sailing across the room, punch after punch, vertical haymakers turning her face into mush as her bones shatter and splinter from the impact. Then he'd pick up her lifeless body, web it and start swinging it around the room like a wrecking ball, leaving baby-shaped blood splats on every surface she hits as arms snap, knees blow out and baby bits are flung all about the room. Teeth, fingers, you name it. Finally, he'd feed what's left into the microwave and cook it until it's blacker than a moonless midnight sky. Then he'd take the burnt baby cake out of the microwave and stomp on it for good measure, leaving just a pile of ashes and broken dreams.
Then he'd say "You just don't understand, Miles"

Or at least, that's the impression I get for you when your reaction to him in the movie is to claim he's following a cult leader when he's actually helping save the world, just like he always does so no he obviously wouldn't fricking hurt his baby. Gee whiz, anon...

spider-verse really showed how terrible peoples comprehension and ability to follow a story that's cohesively and plainly placed before them is.
it's not a "death cult" miguel isnt a vampire and peter b wouldn't kill his kid if miguel asked
i'm still confused on where people are getting "death cult" from.
it's not like the spider society is going out and intentionally killing people. they know that if they tamper with other spider peoples lives they'll doom their world (or whoever's world) they tampered with like miguel did with the dead miguels world. it's not like miguel is bullshitting, they show spider-india's world literally unraveling from miles saving patvirs captain.
it's no different from time travel rules in sci-fi, you don't mess with the world because it'll frick up the future

It's a time travel plot mixed with the idea of fate because there is no actual time travel, and it's all wrapped up in some shitty meta theming to make idiots feel smart

Its autism, the literal kind. Regular people who saw the movie will remember
      >Some good. Some bad...some very bad
and piece together the Spider Society's goal of letting Spiders handle their events without outside elements interfering. But since the movie doesn't touch on the good or mildly bad, autists latch onto muh death cult because they're like low IQs in that they can't process what they can't directly perceive or extrapolate.

Probably not considering he joins up with Gwen at the end but anyone who's actually watched the movie would know that
