This movie was something I thought was kinda good as a teenager.
But frick, upon rewatch way later, this shit is beyond kino. Best movie of the 2000's.
>started smoking because peer pressure and a social thing with people >try to quit >all the kino shows and movies depict smoking in a fantastic fashion
American Spirit Dark Greens, only things for me
Same nicotine content as their strongest cigarette and it's kinda nice. I can't do any other cigarettes. I've had proper menthols and they are fricking disgusting, but this one is like a nice after mint. Unironically if I was stuck in a place without this, I'd probably quit smoking.
Here, let's say you have a glass of cum, and I have a glass of cum. and I have a straw. There it is, that’s the straw. You watching?. And my straw reaches acroooooooooss the room, and starts to drink your cum… I… drink… your… CUM! I DRINK IT UP!
I remember looking at the oscar nominees for 2007.
The two I remember were this movie and the one with the serial killer who uses coinflips to decide whether to kill people. Are they both good?
I don't think it's that simple. Unlike silicon valley buttholes, and in spite of being an butthole himself, Plainview provides a real resource that has objective use value. It is possible (and correct) to read the film as a pro-capitalist narrative, in spite of the filmmaker's probable intentions.
Then there is the question of religion. The surface reading is that Daniel is a violent misanthropic atheist (his surname "Plainview" is indicative of his irreligion), therefore atheism is bad. In this way (the "natural" reading of the atheism angle, and the above "contorted" reading of the (anti)-capitalism angle), a conventional conservative type can reasonably choose to read the film as upholding his own values, using the given evidence. but this is not the fully correct way to read the film.
The fully correct way to read the film is as a PRO-CAPITALIST, ANTI-RELIGIOUS celebration, a happy "libertarian" conclusion which simultaneously annoys conservatives, libeerals, and the filmmakers themselves, and which is therefore correct. This "fully contorted" reading accurately apprehends the Daniel character for what he really is, in spite of the filmmakers: a man who overcomes adversity to live exactly as he pleases. We should all strive to be like Daniel, alone in our mansions, with no need of a god, and without community with other shitty human beings. This is why (again, always in spite of what the filmmakers actually meant) the Brahms is reprised at the coda: it isn't "humorous", it is in fact a celebration of Daniel's victory over god and man.
"I'm finished" signifies that he has nowhere lower to go, having given up all that was precious to him. He is done. His story is over. He chose evil over goodness. Simple as.
>i'm in oil

I think this is my favorite movie
For me, it's this and robocop
Sounds like it's time for me to finally watch Robocop
>finally watch Robocop
watch it when you're in the right mood for a satirical toned, almost dark comedy action movie. it is one of the goats imo.
You don't need to be in any sort of mood for Robocop.

It's not an anti-religion movie, it's an anti-false prophets and depicts how capitalism erodes at religion and corrupts it

And can you believe that Braveheart was gay? It's true. It's actually true. They found... Notes. Of him, and Robert the Bruce. They were gay, you see.

Disappointed in youCinemaphile tbqhwy pham
He's a cuck raising another man's son. In reality he would be stuffing Biden ballots into mailboxes and drinking onions.
It was his best friend, I think
Would you raise your best bro's kid?
