What's the problem? There's nothing sexual presented in the clip, and if you think a little girl's nipples are inherently sexual than you're the one with the problem.

Of course, watching the whole short you can clearly see the animator had a fetish for it. And for feet. Still, it's an independent animation showcase, so he can put whatever the frick he wants in it.

          >Do Astro Boy, Fist of the North Star, and Evangelion look the same to you?
no, they don't literally look the same, but stylistically they are all very anime. astro boy doesn't really count since it is basically the first "anime" anime, and FotNS and Eva are derivative of that style. im the guy talking about soviet animation a bit above and i enjoy it so much since it is so stylistically varied and diverse. not just in terms of animation techniques and mediums but also artistic direction. i just wish a country like japan with all its resources would try to break out of its mold and try something a little bit different.

Matt Groening and the rest of the early Simpsons guys tragically never wanted Simpsons to look like this. The current completely sterile soulless calarts ’animation’ was always their grand vision. In fact they’re actively embarrassed of this aspect and the rest of the soulful, visually interesting, quirky off-model animation of early Simpsons which is why they quickly ditched Klasky Csupo as their animation studio.

it wouldnt because they dont draw it anymore, they animate it in flash or something. its all done on skeleton rigs

Even in flash, you don't have to make the linework all narrow, and the art overly detailed to the point that it loses it's sketchy charm.
