Thanks for suggesting it, it's a great movie. I didn't expect its sense of humor, it got me laughing a few times but was still legitimately touching and heartfelt as well.
I really wish it was set for a wider release. I agree it's really heartfelt and you can feel the passion put in to it. I love the world building as well. I hope he cam get funding and a team for the sequel.
I believe so, but I could never get anything concrete using Google translate on his original site
yeah it's a wonder this film did not succeed all that much as it's very classically made
Since it's just one guy, it took quite a while to make. If he's smart, he'll shop it around for a release on a streaming site over seas, then use that to either get funding, or self fund it again with people working under him out in the country. He really needs to cut his production time.
Oh awesome. Let's keep the shilling going then, every time I see a mad God thread I mention it. It's not that I dislike mad god, I just don't think it deserves as much attention as it gets, and the shortcut techniques used aren't something I want commonplace in stop motion
Everyone just knows the name of the film so it doesn't have to be said. It makes you feel like you're part of something to never actually have to say what you're talking about, and then when someone asks, you can act like they've been living under a rock, hahaha
I don't have to worry about installing codec packs with VLC. It just werks. It's only a problem if you watch newly-releasing anime from autistic subbers who insist on using all the most cutting-edge codecs and shit, but I don't so I simply don't have that problem.
not him but I have this problem with whatever I download, I noticed I get better sound on vlc (some stuff distorts on mpc-hc) but I get glitchy images from time to time
The only times I get the signature VLC video glitches are when I do a whole bunch of seeking back and forth all at once, and even then it's not even every time and it never impacts a normal viewing of anything.
Why are kids so terrified of that scene now? When the original came out, it was seen as a disappointment that the insect scene didn't make it in and it's one of the most wanted bits of lost cinema. Then the remake comes out and all these little zoomer homosexuals piss themselves in fear. I don't get it.

I saw the extended edition first as a kid and it, along with the portrayl of the natives when they ransacked the boat "terrified" me. In actuality, they made me fall in love with it, since its contrasted with a mostly pedestrian movie. Other examples include the Hulk mirror scene, and the chase scene in where the wild things are. For context the first movies I remember watching were Red Dragon and The Devils Rejects, so it wasn't so much the content as the contrast that scared me.
If you were the anon a couple days ago calling Mad God amateurish and suggesting Junk Head, then yeah. I also tried to watch Pinchcliffe Grand Prix since that was also recommended but I couldn't get into it enough to watch the whole thing.
Based, I'm glad you took my suggestion

I hope so, too, I'd love to see more. It's intended to be a 3 parter, right?

>this scene
great now my King Kong nightmares have returned

Its SHIT moron, mpchc is miles better
>MPC-HC is not under development since 2017
based, did you watch it cause I mentioned it in the madgod thread?
If you were the anon a couple days ago calling Mad God amateurish and suggesting Junk Head, then yeah. I also tried to watch Pinchcliffe Grand Prix since that was also recommended but I couldn't get into it enough to watch the whole thing.
that was me.
I didnt bother watching the pinchcliffe either, anon was probably a biased europoor that had nostalgia for it.
The tone and presentation of this movie remind me of skelition jelly.
any similar movies?
so some animators watched every early Tool video and was inspired. cool i guess.
It's visually very cool but I don't remember a single thing about the story
Why are people talking about it again like it's new?
