Theres a story from a Navy Seal about the first time he deployed with a groups of other seals who'd never been in real combat. He said after they got shot at the one literally dropped his gun in shock and ran behind cover and the other ones didnt shot back. Iirc he said the one who ran later got sent back to whatever navy unit he was with before the Seals.

SEALs are a meme. They earned their reputation in Vietnam, now non of those badasses are left. You don't even have to rise up from infantry to get into the SEALs you just have to take a really tough physical fitness test. No doubt some of them are good but the SF community considers them incompetent overrated prima donnas for a reason

I was sad about their showdown too. They set him up to also be abit of an operator himself when he does his commando training. Would have liked to see the teams go head to head. CEO chad with leading his team, against Pratt's team.

bro the forest chase is one of the best parts. I love the part where he is talking to them on the radio.
"and what would your father say if he saw what you did in san francisco"
"he'd say, it would be a mistake to push a man to violence, if violence is what he has devoted his life to perfecting.
                Kino. And the other bit
"This can't go on forever Reece."
"It's not forever, just til I'm done"
                "and when is that"

Used this list as reference last time I saw the pic, watched Wind River, thought it'd be good because I like the main actor and actress. It wasn't that great, dodgy acting and no operatoresque stuff really, pretty bad film, still watchable though.
Downloaded a few others and saw a few of the others on the list in the past. I liked the second Sicario well more than the first one.
Started Strike back, I already had it on my drive but couldn't get into it. I'm assuming it gets much better because people recommend it alot.
ZeroZeroZero was the best I've seen, Terminal List was a good ride, 000 had much more in terms of acting, setting and ominous danger, not the best way to describe it but one of the best shows I['ve seen, well as much as one season can be. Narcos season 2 was well better than the first too, the gay voice over in the first season was highly annoying.

Pretty much. It was jarring as frick since it skipped from being more or less "based on reality operator shit" to Reece - who was shot and off his meds - clowning on a whole drone and satellite supported HRT team while magically surviving the rock scene and just kinda teleporting away in the end which move also magically healed his injuries so he could skydive back in.

Hallucinations should have been either shorter or actually serve a purpose in the story like his daughter guiding him through missions
Show kinda loses purpose around half lacking a bad guy and kinda pulling new targets out of the ass
Big reveals in the last episode, the worst, suck and ruin most of the show

Pretty watchable otherwise, I enjoyed it and Pratt was pretty good in it

It would have been nice if they played more into Reece being paranoid instead of confirming it in the second episode

        Anonymous

        Yeah, true that.
Tell me if this is reddit or not:
Have Reece for the first half being the bad guy, secondary after the first episode, make the viewer believe he went insane, killed his own family and is killing team members and superiors. Rarely showing the killings, just the aftermath. Following the journalist and the FBI guy investigating and slowly revealing the truth around the time he offs Horn.
At 5th-6th episode is when we know Reece isn't entirely crazy and we have a recap of what happened from his point of view with full display of the killings and continuing for the latests kills. Opinions?

          Anonymous

That's a pretty classic trope too though. Framed Super-soldier with lost memory trying to figure out who he truly is. I kinda liked that they didn't dwell on it. But after it was confirmed that it wasn't his own paranoia, some of the schizo / flashback scenes felt abit redundant, and acted more as filler than anything else.
