People who collect every Dollar Tree Blu-ray they can have hording issues but having your favorites on disc provides ample value for the current low cost. The video resolution, colors, and improved sound quality are just some of the obvious benefits to Blu-ray. I'm not AI but I know I'm typing like it.

Yeah, buying movies you like is actually based and the least-moronic thing you can do. Don't be a moron who only consumes whatever shit Netflix throws at you, get physical copies of the stuff you enjoy
      >but piracy
Piracy is dying. If you want access to stuff you need to get physical copies.

Finding good quality torrents is a lot harder than it used to be, especially for obscure shit. You wouldn't know what piracy used to be like if you're an underage homosexual, sorry.

any oldgay knows about what cannot be mentioned, thus exposing yourself as a newbie. Rest assured piracy is quite fine and you're a moron.

I'm not talking about "oldgays." I'm talking about people not in their teenage years. Real life.
Good luck finding high quality torrents with people seeding them for a lot of good obscure shit. You won't know if you only watch capeshit.

Only if you're extremely excessive about it, like Cinemaphilecksuckers who have stacks of capeshit books, but if you have movies or TV sets that are genuinely your favorites and mean a lot to you I see nothing wrong with that, especially if you do yearly rewatches

I think so personally, but only after making the mistake myself as I was a massive 'collector' of DVD's and other dust collecting bullshit, not quite 1800 but several hundred in a couple of book cases when the bluray thing came around rather than repeat the mistake i just bought a nas and pirated everything and threw the dvd's and all my stupid toys and 'collectables' away. I like living without all the knick nacks and dust collectors now, but i wasted a lot of money to come to the realisation.

I'm getting really fricking pissed off when I'm watching a great kino on a streaming platform, and when the credits start to roll, instead of being able to soak it in for awhile as I would like to, the streaming platform is trying to shove the next product down my throat. Sometimes next "recommended" pops up BEFORE THE MOVIE EVEN FRICKING ENDS. This phenomenon alone has made me pledge to start collecting physical discs for my favorite kinos. I was watching one of the best movies I've ever seen the other day, an older black and white kino, and the last scene was really tense and dramatic, and fricking Tom Cruise doing an action pose pops up on the screen and won't go away

I think its good as long as you like what you buy or think you will enjoy.
I don't think it is smart to buy stuff you are just okay with or are are buying just for the sake of buying something.
I've been buying up shows and movies I really enjoyed or think I'll enjoy. It has slowed down recently. I only have a few DVDs/Blu-rays that I'm specifically hunting now and they rarely go up for sale for a reasonable price.

Same. I've had shows end early to jump to the next episode. It was a longer episode than normal, so I'm guessing whoever put in the 'end episode' time just copy-pasted from other episode end times and called it a day.

On the one hand I think paying for this garbage makes you a cuck. On the other hand, if you buy a dvd for $5 today you're more likely to have that same dvd in 15 years than you are to have whatever .mkv file of your favorite film still on your hard drive that you downloaded today.

the absolute best way to store media is on floppy drives, they are lossless

no, watching shit from the approved list of acceptable for modern times pozzedslop on the ~~*streaming services*~~ is fricking gay and soulless, i found way better shit to watch on the reg on DVD blu-ray and VHS at all my local goodwills, theyre basically like a video store where you rent a movie for 50 cents and then get to keep it if you like or donate it back to them if you dont want it (or i guess you can throw it in the trash, but that seems wasteful, theres starving kids in africa who mighta wanted that copy of The Super starring Joe Pesci i just watched)
