Actors Tilda Swinton, Monica Bellucci and Asia Argento, as well as producer Harvey Weinstein, have also put their names on the petition. That's the actual crime he pled to. Ofc American political indoctrination is so strong it would be called rape today. But I don't think they can change it retroactively. Hence they have to be careful how they report it.

I made the mistake of reading some letterboxd reviews yesterday and saw someone describe Woody Allen as one of the most vile men on the planet. Has he actually ever done anything wrong? I thought he was basically a stranger to Farrow's adopted daughter and had no part in raising her and she was an adult when they started a relationship. Or something.

      >I thought he was basically a stranger to Farrow's adopted daughter and had no part in raising her and she was an adult when they started a relationship
      You are correct.
But, by all indications, Farrow seethed so hard about it that she coached her younger daughter to say Woody diddled her. None of the story makes sense at all if you spend 30 seconds looking into it.

      >I thought he was basically a stranger to Farrow's adopted daughter and had no part in raising her

He was frequently around at Farrow's house where Soon-Yi lived and all the kids knew him as their mum's boyfriend. He wasn't her stepdad but he wasn't a stranger either, and in relation to Soon-Yi's he was a supervising adult. All of a sudden, when she was about 18, it became sexual and Farrow found out about this because she went into Woody's flat one day when he wasn't there and saw a pile of pornographic photos of her daughter. This is pretty concerning in itself, even if you discount all the stuff about Dylan Farrow.
