But the party don't even exist anymore and are in different groups Lucas, Max and Dustin are closer to other people now and got their best story arcs while Mike was in California. Eleven so outclasses Mike it makes him look ridiculous in contrast and has reduced him to a romantic foil rather than a character. The only friend he has who still believes in the party and who has a similar power level is Will.
They've said they're going to try and be closer to the original party groups in s5 but I don't honestly think that's going to help his character because while everyone else has evolved as a character he's devolved into a non entity and they have no reason to accept him as their leader.
The "will speech" was fricking cringe. They should have just cut all his scenes. Following those homosexuals around in the desert and the DUDE WEED LMAO gay added nothing and can be skipped entirely

Finn's lack of acting ability didn't come from the script this season, the script was written this way because of his lack of acting ability. They've been working with him since at least 2015, and in 8 years time he has put no effort whatsoever into learning how to act. And that's fine, it doesn't seem like he's really all that interested in acting, and when the show is over he'll probably go be bad at something else, but you can't expect them to write scenes for him that he is incapable of competently performing.

He was also awful in the Turning, and is the weakest actor in Ghostbusters Afterlife. Right now, every single one of his roles is either handed to him directly by Netflix or given to him because he's "the Stranger Things kid" and the project is looking to ride the coattails of that show. Should he pursue acting further after the show is over, I think you will find the reviews will be less agreeable. His "fanbase" was always made up of people who wanted to frick him, be they tween girls or grown men. But his tween fans are growing up and can't carry him much longer and he's already too old for the pedos.
Pretty much spot on. But I will say I don't have an issue with critics going easy on him back in the day because I don't think child actors should be criticized too harshly, you got to remember they are still just starting out and learning the business.

Finn's lack of acting ability didn't come from the script this season, the script was written this way because of his lack of acting ability. They've been working with him since at least 2015, and in 8 years time he has put no effort whatsoever into learning how to act. And that's fine, it doesn't seem like he's really all that interested in acting, and when the show is over he'll probably go be bad at something else, but you can't expect them to write scenes for him that he is incapable of competently performing.
He has the best career out of the kids. He’s also been critically acclaimed in other stuff.

He was cute in the movie It, and he played the best character (JDG acted circles around him, and in most reviews you see the two of them ssingled out for praise as a duo) but as far as "acclaim", he has been treated with kid gloves by critics. He was hilariously bad in The Goldfinch, but he was still a child and the movie was a disaster all around so nobody said much about him specifically. He was also awful in the Turning, and is the weakest actor in Ghostbusters Afterlife. Right now, every single one of his roles is either handed to him directly by Netflix or given to him because he's "the Stranger Things kid" and the project is looking to ride the coattails of that show. Should he pursue acting further after the show is over, I think you will find the reviews will be less agreeable. His "fanbase" was always made up of people who wanted to frick him, be they tween girls or grown men. But his tween fans are growing up and can't carry him much longer and he's already too old for the pedos.
Pretty much spot on. But I will say I don't have an issue with critics going easy on him back in the day because I don't think child actors should be criticized too harshly, you got to remember they are still just starting out and learning the business.
But if by adulthood they haven't improved at all, or in the case of Wolfhard have actually regressed, then by all means, criticize them all you want.
