Yeah it's good, not just for coomer reasons but because it's a fun and kinda self-aware thriller with lots of crazy twists.
Also it's by the director of Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer which is pretty interesting.
This movie was a snoozefest on release. The hype wasn't real. But audiences expected the answer to Basic Instinct, instead it was a boring USA network teasefest not even HBO edgy. As anon said Neve didn't do any nudity. She shows more in William H. Macy's underrated incel hitman drama.
It's annoying how Wild Things has become synonymous with the late 90s but no one liked it. Great title. Great colors. Bill Murray meme. Nothing inside the tent. Charlie Sheen made hotter movies with Denise in a shitty park during custody visits.
how about this >Literary scholar John Thorburn notes that Wild Things is loosely based on several figures in Greek tragedies, namely Medea, whom he describes the character of Suzie as a "modern-day version of."[5] He also notes that Kelly functions as a Phaedra-like figure, while Sam exemplifies both Jason and Hippolytus.[6] Thorburn suggests that the film's "most under-appreciated element is screenwriter Stephen Peters’s obvious debt to classical mythology, tragedy and, especially, two Euripidean plays, Medea (431 BC) and Hippolytus (428 BC).[7]
Like Verhoevens films, Wild Things manages to lure the audience into thinken its more shallow than it really is. The movie displays itself as breasts and twists like several anons in this thread has said, but there's obviously more to the ground than a simple Howard Hawks-noirflick.
To those who know film the ambition for quality is obvious already at the start of the movie. Few directors take the time to compile a beautiful main titles if they aren't invested and believe in their work.
One of the most underrated aspect of Wild Things is its soundtrack
George S Clinton manage to create a swampy, campy tune that brought a southstate-feel to the movie. It's a rather unique bit of music.
Honestly, the movie is pretty comfy neo-noir, one of the best of the 90s and I think it would've been regarded much higher if Denise hadn't shown her knockers.
agreed, it provides a a very rural and desolate feel, in contrast to the luxurous upper class high school-setting of the sunstate. A very noir-like composition, the city vs the hood.
You can fault it for being over the top but its basic concept on how abusable sexual relationships between students and teachers are (from all sides) is an ever-present topic.
when my teacher in civic law showed us this movie my class was eager to discuss the juridical ramifications and as such I think its wrong to outrightly dismiss the movie as just being a "breasts and ass-flick"
>teacher in civic law showed us this movie my class
wait, you watched it in school?? wtf, first time I've heard that. your teacher must've been based, what more movies did he (she?) let u watch?

Ask me how I know you only watched the first 15 minutes
I watched for the time since I was a kid in the 90s and it's pretty fricking stupid. The acting is on par with every nev Campbell, Denise richards, Matthew Lillard or kevin bacon movie from the 90s. It's a sexplitation movie really, made to end up on HBO or skinimax
yea but nev campbell mever did show her breasts. denise richards does but we’d seen them before. bonus for the ladies is Kevin Bacon’s wiener
Does it taste like Apple wood or Maple? Oh and is thick cut or regular?
denise richards going nude in her prime
can't go wrong with that
A forgettable movie only remembered for the two girls lezzing out in the pool and showing Denise nude and getting her breasts played with.
I always hated her fake personality and idiot smile.
I just looked up Neve Campbell breasts and they look like a fat kids saggy moobs with drawn on nipples. Gross. glad she didn't show them then.
hey man, be more body positive. everyone likes different things.
Denise Richard’s got comically broad lips
You want to talk comical, see her nips now.
Her nips are the mashed in buttons on a remote control. Why not get them perky for us fans?
she went through a dual-disposition surgery a decade ago. I don't think she'd like another one

It's more fun than Basic Instinct. Wild Things represents the 90s because it has an element of silly fun.

Dropped
