It's not good, but it's not bad, just kind of a B movie that could of been really good if they just had another draft of the script. Plot heavy movie that has underdeveloped main characters in it. Ed Harris plays the antagonist, and I started to root for him by the end, because he technically didn't do anything wrong int he movie and is just a guy the main characters try to frame for murder. It has good cinematography, and an excellent soundtrack I'll listen to time to time.
I was happy to see a cute muscle mommy on screen. If you want lesbo scenes there are two sex scenes montages which are nice. KStew in the movie starts licking her toes and doing some freaky shit with food with Katy O Brien.

Ed Harris's character is also a gun runner with a known, large body count and it's left ambiguous as to whether he murdered the protagonist's mother. He employs a man that he knows physically abuses his daughter and to a degree he condones that abuse because the man is part of his smuggling operation.
I thought Harris was underutilized and I definitely wanted more of his character in the movie but I don't really think you can fault the film for not setting up his character.

On the surface, he's a guy trying to do damage control before his daughter fricks up, and is trying not to get framed. This whole movie felt like a Coen Brothers or Tarantino crime thriller movie (something like Jackie Brown) but without fully developed characters (I especially wanted to know more about Jackie) and without relatable dialogue scenes. I wish they didn't have so many roid drug sequences and actually just had more character moments and dialogue between the two love intrests.

I would say he had a lot on his plate because of his sons as well but the father/son relationship is entirely different from the father/daughter relationship

I watched Love Lies Bleeding in theaters for the first time five days ago (it will not be my last) and I haven’t been able to think about much else since. I watched Love Lies Bleeding in theaters for the first time five days ago (it will not be my last) and I haven’t been able to think about much else since. To put it simply, it was basically the film of my dreams (horny lesbian crime thriller, Kristen Stewart-led, 80s, gorgeous visual style, etc.) and completely exceeded my expectations.
