Yeah, I rewatch it all the time. One of my favourite animated series. A shame it only had 6 episodes, but they're all gold. I don't even like the movie and I haven't seen anything else Clerks related.
The first episode was great but it seemed like they ran out of ideas fast.
I mean is it really a callback joke if you make the same joke in the 2nd episode you did the 1st? I mean the rope climbing joke WAS good but you can't repeat it 3-4 times in a 6 episode series.
Even Harvey Birdman didn't feel repetitive till their later seasons, so there's no reason to believe that if Clerks had continued it would have lived to even that level of quality

It's okay but a little boring. Give it one watch threw to see what it does that's different but you will never want to watch it again. It's an experimental mess. So if you like experiments and don't mind being a little bored give it a shot.
For what it was it was ahead of its time in a lot of ways, much like a lot of early Smith stuff. Unfortunately it was another victim a network not knowing what they wanted and being upset when the thing they got wasn’t it. Just another turn of the century odd ball that was too early to the party.

ABC screwed this show's production so hard it turned Kevin Smith into a pothead to cope.
It was so bad the crew knew the sixth episode was the last which is why it's called The Last Episode Ever. Imagine if we got three full seasons.
Funnily enough, Seth Rogen was the one who turned Smith into a pot head on the set of Zach & Miri Make a Porno.
