maya hawke is pretty hot but it’s clear her acting decisions are entirely based on what’s trending on TikTok
in season 3 she was originally supposed to end up with Steve but she was like “hmmm, I don’t know, I just...I feel very queer vibes with Robin... I just... I feel... I think what we have here is a very queer character, and we need to do that justice”
and then this season she was like “hmmmm... you know... Robin is... I think Robin has sensory issues... it’s just... we definitely have a character here who... who is neurodivergent... and I think we’d be doing a disservice to that community, if we didn’t do justice for this character”

Pre-lesbian she was perfect, hottest woman on the show and great chemistry with Steve. Then they threw it all away. Now her rambling at inopportune times is just annoying and her lesbian shit is so sidelined it might as well not be there, they just wanted to open up more Nancy bullshit.

Lucas goes from the cynical skeptic to... nothing much really. He's only alright this season because Will/Mike/Jonathan - level headed characters - are not in Hawkins so Lucas gets to be the lone sensible straight man of the group surrounded by more eccentric characters.
Dudeee. Lucas season 1 was an alpha. He challenged Mike and Eleven numerous times. He wasn’t afraid to call out bullshit when he saw it. Season 2 he was still a bit like that until Max arrived. Once max got there they turned him into some lovesick puppy. No spine not even in this season.
In terms of giving these characters actually something to fricking do in s5, if Max dies Lucas can have the edge again and for Mike, I've written it before but they should have these stupid butthole kids stop being so passive and wise up to the fact this UD shit can come back anytime and anywhere. Have Mike, as an example, start gaining muscle mass and training with guns under Nancy, learning skills from Hopper, etc. He goes 'Rambomode', in a way. Becomes a prepper, a man of action and skill growing up before he has to due to the exceptional circumstances he's involved with. Unless the season ends on some world changing cliffhanger, Duffers are moronic cowards if the vast majority of characters revert back to type at the start of s5.
