It is. Shame about the 9 episodes that had finished scripts yet didn't get animation or music because of the cancellation. Some of those scripts are quite good.
Forced? Nah. They're both neurotic but they want to achieve goals that the other is opposed to. The parallels are what make their conflict interesting.
I remember when it first aired when I was 7.
IIRC at first I was disappointed because I wanted to watch Spongebob instead, and the first half of the episode with the Tallest and the other invaders mostly went over my head and bored me.
But I gave it another chance on another day, and it became my favorite show to watch.
I've been rewatching it lately as one of my big animated series currently has a multiple months wait for new content, it's quite good, the style and humor is so on point with each other and Richard Horvitz as Zim is probably THE most fitting choice casting wise. It feels weird watching a series like Zim that has multiple condensed 11 minute episodes, especially with Enter the Florpus existing, but it's been a fun rewatch. Gir is cute and surprisingly more capable than I remember him being but there are points where you can tell why he became pure normie bait "LOL RANDUM XD HE LEIKS MUFFINS :3" tier humor. Whenever the show focuses on the relationship between Dib and Zim it's incredible, I haven't gotten to the second season (and honestly they really need to make those written down plots happen while Horvitz still has his voice), but I have to assume it's just as good as what I've seen through season 1 so far
Yes
DELICIOUS WEENIE
I like it more as adult than I did as a kid
Same here. It's something that gets better when you get older.
>show keeps getting better as it gets older
Just like wine, one of nick's best shows

> 9 episodes
considering how well received the movie was I'm surprissed they didn't give a shot to just sell it to netflix or paramount+
I think it's because Jhonen wants to take a break. In an ironic karmic twist, Nickelodeon is at his mercy.
Yes but Gir is annoying.
Yes and GIr is the best character
ZAGR is cute
Yes and I unironically like gir
Yes but Gir is the worst character
>Cancelled midway through Season 2
Nick is forever shit.
>spiked toilet paper
Damn.
What? You assume aliens have baby soft asses like a sissy human?
>7 episodes out of what should've been 20
Not even midway
Gir makes me smile
I felt the conflict between Dibb and Zim was rather forced, since they were basically two sides of the same neurotic coin.
Forced? Nah. They're both neurotic but they want to achieve goals that the other is opposed to. The parallels are what make their conflict interesting.
You'd think they'd eventually recognize they're two of a kind.
Them being so similar also means they're extremely stubborn, therefore unwilling to be friends.
perfect? no. soulful? yes
That rating in the corner is objectively wrong
has the most accurate depiction of mexico that was ever shown on a cartoon
The random guy dancing will always be the funniest shit
It all started when santa let membrane down, likely some sort of generational trauma
Why is his son so insane?
Neglect.
It's hereditary
Severe parental neglect, this is what happens when you let your children alone at home and spend like 1 day a month with them.
