I've said this before: Jack Reacher is the least interesting character on TV. He operates from a superior mindset that is always validated, he's huge, strong, good looking, intelligent, natural leader, great fighter, commands instant loyalty from people, friends come out of the woodwork to help him no matter what, and he manages to buy clothes from a thrift shop in his size that make him look badass. His only "flaws" are he doesn't have a cell phone and likes being a drifter. Did anyone feel a moment's worry this entire season? Like the hero wasn't going to superman his way through the show? Jack Reacher is a Mary Sue, end of story.
flaws: he is also not a good driver and dislikes computers.
But yes, he is a Superman. That is his purpose. He will survive just as Bond will survive or Batman or Jason Bourne.
Question is, will his friend / girlfriend / mentor survive? Through what length will he go to stop villain plot? And in the books it usually takes a while to even figure out the villain plot. And some of them are dark. Both seasons had simple greed motives(selling weapons, counterfeits), the first movie did not really sell how gnarly Werner Herzogs operation is, the second movie was back to greed(drugs).
Disliking computers is not a flaw. So who died this season? A cop Reacher didn't like? Did he ever take a moment to reflect on how he misjudged him or made decisions that got him killed? Oh here's a few bucks for your nephews, because I am Reacher the Benevolent God of handing out money. How was he weakened in any way during the show? All the deaths of his friends were from before the story started, he got to frick one of his old coworkers, save the world while flouting all the rules, and got a free bus pass. Frick Jack Reacher and suffering any consequences.
It might shock you but there is an audience for good looking people doing cool shit. Achilles is just a Chad doing Chad shit and its awesome and will forever remain awesome
the instant respect from other people is the part that really kills it
If people thought he was just some dumbass corn fed brickhouse of a man who was drifting around because he's a scumbag who doesn't want to do or commit to anything- and then he impressed them and gained their respect with his qualities and drive to do the right thing it would be so much better
instead everyone knows who he is, he was in the military and respects him at all times. a 30 year old female police officer is making bedroom eyes at this homeless man in the first episode. his squad mates in s2 already know who he is so any "diversity" in the makeup of the team is instantly negated and made meaningless
it's so unbelievably stupid and is like anti-character development
Season 1 was better about this, Finlay viewed him as an annoying meddler at first and the bad guy actually got under Reacher’s skin by bringing up his alleged war crimes or whatever
True. But I think they also need to put that one scene in there with a woman coming on to him so that normies understand that there's nothing wrong with him.
First season was entertaining, but him knowing everything and always doing the perfect thing got boring. Didn't watch past episode 2 of season 2. Just more of the same and I don't give a shit about some literal who who died. At least season 1 was personal with his brother.
This plot is possibly more personal than the one with his brother. At least same level. I don't remember any book being closer to him personally. It's all about people he investigated as an MP (like the Cruise movie) or random shit he stumbles into.
one problem is that most of a Reacher book is his thought processes.
When he explains how a fight will go and then it goes just like that, or he predicts moves during a fight, you can do that in a book. But in a movie it is always weird. Either like Tom Cruise explaining to the guys that 2 will run away or like RDJ in Sherlock Holmes with the infamous discombobulate scene.
Reacher is the male equivalent of Mila Jovovich's resident evil Alice character
If a zombie bite reacher id expect he would be immune or develope super powers too.
in an investigation, assumptions kill
meh tier series
its like something that would be on viasat 3 in the early 2000s

he is also a gay and a crybaby when he feels not respected enough for being Achilles. Not the example I would use. But fine.
In the books he sleeps with Asians and Latinas as well, iirc (have not read all books, maybe there is a black lady in there as well at some point).

Is it really only one sex scene per season?
he had at least two this one
yeah cause it was always one sex per book and this seems a little more faithful to the source material
It's one woman per book, but they have sex multiple times. Though only one is described with more detail. Actually like this season.
yeah your correction is right, I phrased it dumb
There should be no sex scenes at all. Jack Reacher being a stone cold incel would add to his character and make him more interesting.

To be fair most of them aren't initiated by him and he acts autismo after them as well. It's pretty adorable.
Why does Thad's head look tiny?
no? he took the ring to mordor!
It's just Reacher.
im looking forward to season 3 🙂
season 2 wasnt as good as 1 but it was still enjoyable, i watched it with my dad and he loves the show. its fun.
Yes.
he tried booty calling a girl once but he couldn't reach 'er

Not enough for meds, or else he wouldn't have been accepted into the service. They don't waive psych meds.
Yes. Why do you think they were called the 'special' investigators?
no just poorly written

Anyone else missing Tom Cruise Jack Reacher?
Nope. That dwarf can stick to fighter jock stuff.
Autistically terrible, yes. Though I remember one of the episodes came with a cool ending song.
shit actor playing in a mediocre show
he's a hobo
>Cinemaphile hates a show about a masculine straight white male that is capable, competent, driven and that has sex with white women exclusively
Will wonders never cease.
Hoping for a chocolate goddess in season 3. Or why not a kurdish woman with those enormous boobs that they have.
Jack Kreacher
i love her spotted milf breasts
I see no breasts here you liar

>tfw no season 5 with a dozen Reacher clones
