It's never meant to be a realistic reenactment of a prison. It's meant to be a play. Once you get that the plot makes sense. Otherwise it will seem very stupid. It's very gay. Like it's constant with men kissing and touching. Anyways if you don't think it's realistic is great. If you think it's going to be realistic or game of thrones like you'll hate if. No one really ever dies until the end who matters
It's worth watching. It's slop, in that it doesn't try to be exactly realistic but if you can learn to have fun with the insanity wondering what will happen next, it's a great watch.

Oz is an extremely dark comedy. you have to be in a certain mood to enjoy it.
Yeah, they just gave up trying to be serious at all towards the end. That's what makes it glorious. Also gay rape.
The trick is not to take it too seriously and enjoy the ride, much like SoA. If you go in for a gritty crime drama, you'll hate both of of these.
