it does get better or lets better say the story takes quite some time to unfold
but if you cant stand the pacing you probably wont like the rest either
I started watching it last week (got season 1 and 2 on dvd for cheap) and it's amazing imo
I was engaged from the first episode so I'm not sure what you're missing
Love every character even if I think a lot of them are c**ts
Yeah I can't explain why
All I could say is that the setting and the characters are believable and I like how the story flows from episode to episode
I want to know more about Don Draper, I want to see how Peggy evolves over the season, I want to know what happens to Don's marriage and what Betty does, I want to know whether Pete becomes a better man or if he completely falls apart, etc
>He bought dvd instead of torrenting
I'm scared of torrenting
Got s1 and 2 for $4 so worth it imo

Physical media's a safe bet anyways. You don't have to cough up loadsa money for an SSD or whatever because all the storage you need is just physical space
>smokes >drinks >cheats on every woman he ever gets in a relationship with >has severe childhood trauma >coasts off past success while never trying to improve
Duh, of course he's a good role model
I feel like people miss that a lot of the reason Don acted the way he did was that he never felt as though he "belonged" in his own life, particularly in the high class environment he eventually found himself in. A lot of his actions are predicated on this insecurity.
this becomes very obvious once his background is revealed, and is more or less hinted at when he give Peggy a shot even though everyone else thinks he's insane for doing so
>there are people on this board who thought Megan would be murdered by Charles Manson's lackeys and Don Draper would become DB Cooper
show yourselves, cowards
>That Hershey's presentation
Best scene in the show imo. I love the emotional rawness and the level of discomfort everyone in the meeting had. Absolutely kino
i been watching it up to 5 eps on s01 and its pretty boring and shit, whats the appeal? does it gets better?

And yet you don't explain 'why' you like it. It's just 'fun'. No offense but that's always the sign of a mouth breather and a not very good show.

It took me about half the first season to get engaged, and then by the end I was fully hooked
If you still dont like the show after s1 finale then stop watching.
No
Show would be a lot better if it didn't revolve so much around romance and sex. It's trying too hard to appeal to both men and women.
>Snart's Fart and Shart
abandon the show, the 2-3 good episodes aren't worth sitting through this entire borefest for.
"if you idolized them you missed the point"
Imagine role-modeling.
It's always neckbeards and Indians that watch this shit.
people coping that they're not attractive

Yes. He helped me be a better millennial alpha male.
No
He is deeply messed up and inherently self-destructive. He will always be the alienated little boy of his youth
>He is deeply messed up and inherently self-destructive. He will always be the alienated little boy of his youth
That sums up most of the manchildren who idolize him too. The only difference is Don is handsome.

That's how I knew it would be a great episode

the 30% rule is the stupidest bugman shit ever
What is so stupid about only paying 30% of your gross income on rent?

God that's so fricking rad. I wish this happened
he's literally me

The only good role models in the show are Bert and Pete
Ken has a fine character arc too
When I see ken, all I can think about is LA Noire
CAPTCHA: TVSSS
Ken's a good man up until he gets broken in the final season
Ken was a fricking pussy
imagine getting fricking shot in the face by some rich fat frick and doing nothing about it, except from whining
frick ken
Charisma in command is such a moron.
He gets more pussy than you'll ever get.
>Muh dik
Do these people realize that it’s a scripted show and that nothing portrayed is actually real?
the underlying premise is that a good show has realistic characters that you can relate to
but no they will never be draper
you are applying these tricks to your life, right, Cinemaphile?
>If I follow those easy steps I will become just as charismatic and beautiful as him!
neo PUA grifts of 2020 and forward
I would say yes if you compare him with someone like Bateman
Didn't Don Draper collapse into a puddle of alcoholism and depression?
yes, he recovers towards the end but he stoops pretty low
For me, it's Pete.
He was incredibly based throughout the show.
