like others said just go watch it. I enjoyed it enough to give the next episode a gander if/when it comes out. I'm not invested at all in whatever background stuff has people losing their shit on /Co and don't care either way but be aware some folks here are shitting their pants in anger about something.
all in all I thought it was a well laid out episode at least. we got the setting, characters, and plot danger laid out in a very concise way from the get go that I feel is overlooked alot now when people start stuff. wasn't an info dump but only a person with preschooler comprehension couldn't figure the context clues

It's a single pilot, just watch it.
I think it's really good. Way better than Murder Drones' pilot. The writing is very sharp, and so is the animation, the humor is great, the voice acting is on point, and the design of this world sparks your imagination. It's just an incredibly solid work that shows a lot of promise.
I prefer Murder Drones' aesthetic and style, I've never been a huge fan of overly wacky and zany abstract stuff like Gooseworx's psychadelic style - I can see how people find that personally enjoyable though. I agree that Amazing Digital Circus' pilot handled dialogue and humor better than the Murder Drones pilot, Glitch definitely seems to have learned their lesson in that department. I just prefer Murder Drones' overall style and story more, but the ADC pilot was an entertaining watch and I'm glad there's probably going to be more once the forst season of Murder Drones wraps up.
I'd say it's actually very funny, but in ways I never expected it to be funny. Great music, too.
Concept is a bunch of people are trapped in a wacky children's computer game and slowly being driven mad, and the newcomer (clown girl) is the most desperate to find an exit.
Note that it's a dark comedy (not "scary", just bleak) where everyone's either an ass, a loon, or about to become a loon.

It's completent and is a decent set up but it really feels like one of those series that opens up on a mystery only for it to drag on forever and only trickle clues for a majority of it's existence. And I'm honestly exhausted that formula.
It would work if the mystery was honestly that intriguing. It really feels like they've told us what's happened already.

It's not a mystery driven show. It's mostly character driven, confirmed by Gooseworx themselves.

The writing on the wall for Pibby was so obvious. The "teaser" had her talk of heroes and her team was a sidekick and a villain, the most cliche "break free of your roles" scenario ever. The fandom expectations of the show was a more wild that what the show would have actually delivered.

This seems very likely. I don't even think there were originally supposed to be humans inside the game, and Caine was just supposed to make randomly-generated content for the players on the other side of the screen.
I agree Caine didn't struck me as a malevolent guy, just some AI construct way out of his depth. Just the fact that he willingly told the cast that there was an exit and that he was working on it to get it to work means he's not evil.

The animation is great and bouncy, and I was really digging the tone throughout the first half. There's a little too much "zoomer" humor for my taste with the laidback characters if that makes any sense.
