      the long episodes, simple plots, comfy pacing with the odd booba scene thrown in kept me entertained for weeks. was genuinely sad when I finished it. watched Hornblower too but it's a bit more serious than Sharpe.

          I live not far from Sheffield and hearing Sean Bean's accent reminds me of home. I can't remember who it was but it wasn't Sean Bean who was the original casted actor for Sharpe, he was secondary.
