Is there such a thing as a good short film? I've never seen a legitimately good one.

I stumbled on this one by mistake, a mislabeled bootleg from years ago, but it sucked me in. Basically a little girl stumbles into a time loop created by a future version of herself that wanted to live forever. If someone finds a good link please post it
    we fell in love

If short stories can be just as good if not better than longer fiction then theoretically there should be a lot of great short films, but I guess the profit motive and the failure of anthology films always prevents them from really taking off. One could always do something like this though, which is a kino adaption of a kino short story:

i dunno what constitutes "short film" and i'm unclear as to who produced it
there's a time loop feature with Kurtwood Smith (or whatever the dad from that 70's show is)
the plot is he keeps going back 28-30 minutes until some scientists try an experiment. he's gotta warn the right government officials in time, then goes right back to sitting on a bench.
