Michael Douglas isn't israeli. He both produced and starred in this. It's literally his pet project. Try lying somewhere else you disgusting homosexual surgical hole.
It has some nice views and interesting scenes, but now the plot is quite literally "this white man bad bc he had enough." It gives you a crumb of hope by implying the retiring cop finally starts to grow a pair by the end of the movie. The degeneracy dfens observes and chimps out about is hard to sit through when it's all so much worse today.
It's just a movie for angry guys to vent with and feel "heard," which is why things have only gotten worse instead of purged over the past 30 years.
Shino, it’s kit.
The movie has an interesting premise of a regular guy who suddenly goes on a spree and starts blowing away every minor inconvenience. The b-plot of the cop chasing him is done pretty well.
It suffers from a few unfocused scenes. Most of the movie is him reacting to normal things, price-gauging convenience stores, shitty fast food, an butthole at a golf course, a sluggish road construction crew, but then it has silly stuff like the neo-nazi military surplus store guy who tries to rape him. Now I’m sure the viewer has encountered at least one of the first four things I mentioned, and may even sympathize with his overblown response, but who has ever been in the last situation? The movie also seems to have this idea that he’s a normal person who is going off the deep end, but then it undoes this portrayal in the end when he watches his home movies and you see that he was always a violent Ill-tempered psycho. So what’s the point of the movie? It can’t seem to decide between “the world puts a lot of pressure on people and can cause even a regular person to snap” vs “this guy is crazy and he’s having a crazier day.”
He's supposed to represent white America. The reason for the home movie scene is to demonstrate that actually his past was never the rose-tinted familial placidity he's fighting to reclaim, he was in fact always a monster at heart. Which is probably one of the only reasons critics (largely) approved of it.
It’s a good movie. People get too wrapped up in politics when they talk about it because so many people nowadays are insane and poisoned by ideology, but it’s just a fun movie as long as you’re not a blue haired leftoid freak or a nazi conspiracy theorist. My favorite part is the golf course scene.
wether you like this movie or not tells more about you, than the movie
it is in magnificent place where the Villain(?) is also the main charakter; liking the movie means you get his point, not liking it means you disagree with him
Everything is propaganda if you really want it to be. Otherwise it's a good and fun movie about a guy who has had enough. I'd certainly recommend it, it has that comfy 90's atmosphere too.
It's one of those movies that's kind of about politics and modern life so it's easy to troll anons by saying the main character is a saint or a monster. Like being a complete fricking moron oblivious to nuance in the hopes you get replies. Really pathetic just like the rest of this board.
It frames the character who stands up against obvious wrongs as mentally ill. By association, it tries to paint whoever agrees with him likewise, with the overarching goal of this propaganda piece being rather simple: presenting a deterrent against resistance. It's not very good at hiding its intention, but by necessity. If it were, few would be influenced by it. Even le evil nahdzee is a "good guy", in that he is obviously a closeted homosexual.
D-fens is exactly the same type of character as Travis Bickle (Taxi Driver) and Arthur Fleck (the Joker). A normal person can and probably will sympathize with them but will also understand that they're going off the deep end. These movies are a social commentary on the survival of one's mind in todays society where people suffer from existential crisis and the tempation of just going postal. None of these characters are good guys per say and the point is to resist the primal urges for everyone's sake.
>Isn't the main character supposed to be neither a hero or a villain? And the homosexual nazi is never shown as a good guy.
He >got fired >has anger issues >has a restraining order
The homosexual is automatically good, because it's made very clear who the bad guy is.
Kino if you stop watching before the "i'm crazy but the nazis are still bad" part of the movie
Its always been so moronic how a person is supposed to be "evil" but they always pull the "being a nazi is too much for even me" bullshit and then add a gay scene to make the nazis who were watching not even be able to enjoy their representation
Yeah but has anyone of them understood his frustrations and sympathized with him?
In a moment of mental weakness he would have likely sided with the dude in some ways but Nooticing wasn't as big of an issue to da joos back then as normies probably would have wrote it off as nazi nonsense without proof
It's kino, but not for the reasons the production/director/writers intended.
Some goat scenes but overall the movie goes nowhere.
ashkenazic garbage

>Michael Douglas
>son of Issur Danielovitch
9/10 bait man
Demotivating, heavy-handed garbage
Damn, it's that bad?

qft
This. I hated that he ended up being crazy the entire time because it totally cheapened the scene of him suddenly ditching his car in traffic.

It's too problematic, avoid it unless you are a stupid white chud
So the movie is kino?
>white male rage… the movie!
Yikes
>movie about white male rage
>his best allies are two black kids and a black homeless man who is "not economically viable"
FIRST CINEMATIC OPVS THAT I WATCHED AT THE CINEMA.
It's kino but it's one of those movies like starship troopers that makes you feel misanthropic after having watched it

>or a nazi conspiracy theorist
/misc/ chuds love Falling Down though
There’s a scene where the protagonist explicitly denounced the tenets of national socialism. little step/big toes
/misc/ gays see anything anti-nazi and lose their minds. Hitler and national socialism are like their two favorite things.
> Woke gays see anything anti-homosexual and lose their minds. Gays and trannies are like their two favorite things.
>Defending being a /misc/tard at all
Literally have a nice day.
>have a nice day
That's for you, troon
wether you like this movie or not tells more about you, than the movie

I´d say it is good and worth watching
It peaks during the Korean convenience store scene which is unfortunately pretty early in the film.
If you really need Cinemaphile to consult on Falling Down you really need to watch more movies.
I unironically haven't seen it yet, and don't know if it's propaganda or kino as you guys can't make up your minds
Everything is propaganda if you really want it to be. Otherwise it's a good and fun movie about a guy who has had enough. I'd certainly recommend it, it has that comfy 90's atmosphere too.
Why the frick do we need to have a thread about this movie in the 'log at all times? What could there possibly be left to discuss?

I guess you missed the parts where D-fens is disgusted by pretty much everyone he comes across except for the kids.
And the black guy protesting the bank because he's not 'economically viable'. In fact that dude was basically the only person D-Fens empathised with.
Yeah but has anyone of them understood his frustrations and sympathized with him?
In a moment of mental weakness he would have likely sided with the dude in some ways but Nooticing wasn't as big of an issue to da joos back then as normies probably would have wrote it off as nazi nonsense without proof
Its a great classic film. And yes its good. And no I refuse to use your moronic Cinemaphile language. Its cringe and stupid.
>"Oh man that film was so KINO bro!"
>"KEK, i know right man!"
Do you guys actually talk like this in real life? I'm guessing no sense this website is nothing but shills and bots.
