What’s with this recent trend of MAWS gays trying to pretend like STAS was bad?

        >Recent
Until recently nobody ever cared about STAS. Nobody watched it, nobody remembered it. The only shows from the DCAU that people remembered were Batman, JL, and Static. Only once MAWS came out did you see a bunch of DCAUgays giving hilariously moronic opinions about how MAWS Clark is “soft” unlike the alpha male DCAU Superman who got cucked by Batman, mind controlled/turned evil THREE times, and his big epic moment was talking smack to Darkseid before jobbing AGAIN. DCAU gays even act like Superman *not* needing to run home to Mommy and Daddy for constant pep talks is a bad thing.

I like the time line when the Kents survive long enough to not just raise Clark to adulthood but to also raise Kara and Conner but John has a fatal heart attack and Superman can't save him. Although I suppose they're dead as disco for Earth-1 & Earth-2 pre-crisis Supermen.

Genuinely baffled at the people who seem to think Superman of all characters needs to be constantly flying back to the Kents Farm to get some basic b***h advice every time he stubs his toe. Even Spideygays recognize that Peter doesn’t need Aunt May but there’s a contingent of Supergays who appear to believe Superman is incapable of figuring out the answers to moral conundrums himself

Very cynical attitude that unless Superman checks in with Ma and Pa he will lose any empathy for humanity. You seem to be arguing Superman has no inherent humanity of his own or that being raised by the Kents wasn’t enough, he needs them constantly alive to remind him of basic moral lessons

I don’t know if you’re aware of this but Superman isn’t human at all. Moreover so what if he leans on his parents from time to time? That’s a perfectly normal thing to do

                > but Superman isn’t human at all
Amazing, this is Lex Luthor’s entire argument. Supes isn’t human so therefore he can’t empathize with humanity or understand it. One of the core conflicts between Supes and Lex is that Supes IS human because he values his humanity (empathy) whereas Lex is a human who rejects humanity in favor of seeking power

No yeah shit, I’m not making that argument. I’m just saying that it’s not unreasonable for Clark to rely on the advice of parents since they’re his whole basis for understanding humanity and the Earth

Stop talking in absolutes. I enjoyed STAS. The animation wasn't the best (like how the Batman cartoon wasn't as good, I suppose there was a drop in budget over moving to the WB) but it was a good show. Evan Dorkin wrote a few eps, Paul Dini made that kino Mr. Mxyzptlk episode, and it made Aquaman actually respectable. And on top of all of that, it introduced Lobo to the DCAU.
          >Don't try to pretend that World's Finest movie wasn't awesome. I loved Joker and Lex negotiating while Mercy and Harley fight in the background.

    >It’s not like the comics!
Which ones? The Pre-Crisis one where the Kents are dead, Clark and Lex grew up in Smallville together, and Superman considers himself to be Kryptonian? The Post-Crisis one where Lex is a Kingpin knockoff, Supergirl is a weird shapeshifting clone, and Superman executes three criminals in cold blood? The New 52 Superman with dead Kents and reduced power levels? Rebirth with its utterly broken and incomprehensible continuity? Never mind that the DCAU was also not accurate to the comics with stuff like making Brainiac Kryptonian.
    >Superman isn’t one shotting everything!
Yeah this Superman is weaker than those TikToks and Instagram posts that hype up Silver Age “feats”, if Superman is as powerful as he is in those he would never lose to Batman. I never see anyone complain about Injustice breaking with tradition.
    >Superman is soft
He stands up to General Sam Lane and is outright willing to fight the government. DCAU Superman turned himself in to the feds in JL like a complete b***h. Just because he’s not snarling and showing off his heat vision every episode doesn’t mean he’s soft, all the DCAU and DCEUgays are seething at a Superman who cares about protecting people and averting collateral damage.
    >He’s too naive!
DCAU Superman was a complete moron who got played by everyone from Batman to Lex to Joker to Darkseid to Brainiac. And he didn’t even have the excuse of being a young 20 something unlike MAWS Superman

In the fights after Goku gets instant transmission, he almost never teleports villains to another planet.
The two times he did it against someone, it was against Cell, who was trying to self-destruct the planet and Kid Buu, which wasn't even intentional, just him trying to survive the planet exploding.
Honestly, Goku is saved from collateral damage mostly because it seems like the DB world is 80% open plains, wastelands and mountains.
