Some people don't like it simply because they don't like games where half of the enjoyment comes from side quests and exploring the world and its characters that are not really connected to the main story. I personally don't know why you'd pick a South Park game if you didn't care about the characters and this "slice of life" approach but there are many people like that.

Trey and Matt have always had a thing for doing the opposite of what everyone else says and does but it's only recently that this attitude has extended to the fans as well. They used to value their audience more once.

Tegridy Farms is basically Randy having an overly extended midlife crisis, and you can tell they have far more to say on that than how the kids are handling their own lives, even Stan whose life has basically gone to pot because of his dad's selfishness

Matt and Trey have actually hired proper writers and comedians before to be in the writers room with them, but I've seen people say that they're more hired friends than writers. Supposedly the quickest way you can get fired from that job is to actually start offering serious suggestions, rather than sitting around eating pizza with them while they come up with all the ideas.
South Park has always been 100% those two, and they'll never change ways, because that's the essence of what the show is.

I've always felt that masculinity and femininity aren't opposite ends of a spectrum you can be on, so you can have a very masculine person who is also very feminine.
Kinda like the Kyle = most masculine thing. People point out how he has some feminine traits, but I don't think that makes him less masculine since he also has a lot of masculine traits.

Matt and Trey have actually hired proper writers and comedians before to be in the writers room with them, but I've seen people say that they're more hired friends than writers. Supposedly the quickest way you can get fired from that job is to actually start offering serious suggestions, rather than sitting around eating pizza with them while they come up with all the ideas.
South Park has always been 100% those two, and they'll never change ways, because that's the essence of what the show is.
