I didn't even realize it was the same character until someone pointed it out on an article. The original casting would've made the last episodes absurdly kino. There was something so menacing and cruel about the original imagining of the character.

The problem is that they wrote the characters completely differently from season 5 to 6, I can't even imagine the original actor playing the character as he's written in the recent episodes. Ultimately the character is just a 3-episode plot device so it doesn't matter too much.
