Yes. I'm afraid it is. Every single cartoon. Every single gag. Even some random joke that happens once for 5 seconds in episode 7 of a 200 episode series. These are all seeds to plant the most random ass fetishes in your 10 years down the line. First you think something's wrong with you. Then you go online. You find others into it. They encourage you. You start drawing. You make a following. You infect others, who then start drawing.

Now that quicksand scenes are drying up in cartoons what new perilous kink is going to fill the vacuum? How will channels like this cope https://www.youtube.com/@quicksandcartoonscenes1144

Reminds me of /b/'s toaster fricker greentext. I'm not misanthropic enough to say the internet was a bad thing as a whole, but it really magnifies our vices to inhumanly disgusting levels. Imagine explaining horse anal vore to the amish.

I used to watch GI Joe when I was a kid. I really liked the Baroness, but didn't understand why.

Now I'm an adult, I look at my taste in women, the things I like to see them wear, the slow transition into liking goth chicks and at some point, a neon light in the shape of the words 'FRICKING DUH' went off in my brain.

Like it or not, the stuff we watched as a kid affected us as adults, it's just a matter of working out how. At least I just grew up with a thing for teachers/librarians/secretaries and not whatever nightmare the poor bastards who watched Totally Spies are jerking it to.

      >Totally Spies
I wonder what's going to happen when normies catch on to the fetishes that have been proliferated by cartoons.

No. At that point the topic of influence and intention become impossible to ever measure or account for so on the off chance that one of those was made by a genuine fetishist, you'd never know. It's like how all the horror and abuse in Grimm fairytales could be products of fetish and kink, but you'll never know. It's useless to ponder because plenty produced and watched content that could be fetishized with differing effects.

No, you cannot gain a fetish. Yes, something can awaken a fetish in you that you didn't know you had.
Fetishes are like energy, it cannot be created or destroyed.

The more you censor normal sexual stuff is what leads to people developing weird fetishes. It's what happened with Japan.
Cartoons should have conventionally sexy characters doing conventionally sexy things at times in replace of "weird gags" so the viewers don't risk developing anything weird.

The 90s created generations of furries. Some of the greatest animated movies of all time have female animals with frick-me eyes and girls will always want to frick dogs and wolves.

Or toasters and washing machines, as long as they have a pair of eyes.

Yah furries notoriously came by way of sci-fi conventions. That's why they've always been socially awkward, sex-thirsty losers, even before they became a thing.

I think there’s a direct correlation between having the specific brand of moronation that obsessed over half-lidded eyes and becoming a dogfricker. It explains why dogfrickers are so horny all the time. Imagine getting a chub every time you see anything with eyes blink, that’s the world furries live in.

        Counterpoint: fursuits don't blink.

It's literally just whatever you see while going through puberty. Horror movies gave me a gore, rape, and fear based fetishes. After that it went from bondage porn to forced orgasm, to anime rape porn to now I have to be careful and not look at guro or anime snuff.

The original concepts were purely comedy. Even the sexy animals were playing up to archetypes, not intended to actually arouse anyone. It's very likely that a lot of this stuff nowadays is made by people who acquired those fetishes by watching similar things as kids, even though they were intended to be innocent. Remember that guy who wanted to pitch a cartoon partly inspired by softcore weasel rape inflation porn? If he'd been only tiny bit less stupid, he'd have stood a decent chance of getting into the industry.

A lot of it isn't pearl clutching, it's political. They don't honestly believe in corruption of youth in media, they hate gays and need the pretense of harm done to remove them from public. If anyone had honest grooming accusations, they would start with protesting video games and getting more angry about that. That isn't happening at all because it's not an honest issue.

Nobody ITT mentioned grooming except you, moron. People picking up fetishes from even perfectly innocuous stuff they see as a kid is basically unavoidable. People sneaking their fetishes into their art (unintentionally or not) and transparently denying doing it is indisputable fact. Some of those people, statistically, end up in the animation industry. And I don't hate gays except when they try to touch my balls during sex.

    >Is this true
Yes. It's the same thing as boomers always complaining that "I married my mother/father", remarking on how the person they married is exactly how their parents behaved. Only in this instance, those affections are aimed at other formative experiences, due to the gen X/boomers hands off (lazy) approach to raising their children, and just letting the TV do it for them.

    Pic related.

I don't know who this person is you are talking about.

Just realized you might be talking about Jordan Peterson, in which case I don't watch his stuff because he is a homo. But regardless of if he said something similar, I stand my by point that it's all psychological warfare. And hey, maybe you have fond memories of stuff that looking back you can see was kinda fricked up, but to pretend the weird shit was ALL innocuous, or even normal, is just cognitive dissonance. It's understandable why people feel that way, but still just how it is.
