I remember seeing him for the first time in The Dark Knight playing some random Joker lookalike that didn't even had a line. Then, I remember seeing him like in 5 or 6 movies where he's a one liner at most.
Then, 20 years later, he's starting to become mainstream. A real case of perserverance.

      The Iranian physiogamy makes him stand out but mainly the eyes. Even in OPs pic they look deer like. Innocent but also dangerous is driven to that point. Great for complex characters.

    Despite that he was one of the most memorable parts of that movie for me, he acted legitimately terrified and crazy really well to the point where I thought he'd make a solid Joker himself which is probably why they cast him.
