How much guilt tripping have you guys gobbled up in your lives to no be able to see how insane you are right now?
Picard was 100% controlled by the Borg. It was not Picard who attacked anyone at Wolf 359, it was Picard's skin wrapped around a Borg core. Would you imprison a car driver for murder because he had a seizure and, during his convulsions, plowed into a group of people? If yes, based morons. If no, Picard is 100% innocent.
Sisko was apparently too moronic to see that too, which means he is unfit for any command position because he cannot divorce his personal feelings from the task at hand. I mean holy frick, he almost resigned his assignment to DS9 in front of Picard, out of spite, so he could have the last word.
Sisko is 100% autist incel energy, pure and simple.

I'm well aware that Sisko wasn't in the right to be mad at Picard, but the point of the scene was the he was mad at someone who didn't 100% deserve it. Even then, Sisko was mad at all of Starfleet and not only Locutus/Picard.

It's probably the most character defining scene of Sisko in The Emissary. He's seething.

              >the point of the scene was the he was mad at someone who didn't 100% deserve it. Even then, Sisko was mad at all of Starfleet and not only Locutus/Picard.
So he projected his anger against the next best person he could get a hold of, like a fricking child, and a clinically moronic one at that? Thank you for not only making, but SELLING my point.

His wife got killed and his life ruined. He'd be autistic if he WASN'T mad beyond reason.

He could be in mourning. Actually, if you are not at the emotional level of an adolescent, that's the proper reaction. Not anger. Being angry about terrible losses is a clear-cut sign you need to seek therapy. And I'm talking character therapy.

In reality they never would have allowed Picard to return to any position of leadership in starfleet after that and more likely there would have been intense pressure for him to resign and retire. The way the borg are I can't really buy them making it so their cybernetic implants could be removed so easily and just let the human go back to hunky dory like nothing happened. Who knows what residual effects there could have been.

The Maquis were the most moronic group ever put on Star Trek.

They're Federation citizens, the most privileged of space empires with almost unlimited freedom terrorizing colonizers of a militaristic empire who most likely have no choice but to work on them over planets that don't really matter while at war with the biggest galactic empire the Federation has ever met.

Those frickers could've just moved anywhere in the federation at any time. All their problems are self inflicted.

Yes. They're basically cultists who formed a militant orthodoxy around "logic", which is always creatively interpreted to correspond to whatever anyone in authority wants. The Vulcan religion eschews anything that makes life worth living, any loving attachment or anger or passion that might distract from ultimate loyalty to the churchstate. Any Vulcan who chooses not to participate is sent out into space to die, as the Romulans were. Even now you're exiled for not joining the cult.

            >some andorian wanting to secede from the federation
Yeah, the old Star Trek EU had a running subplot where the Andorians were a four-gendered race with an imploding population. They needed to resort to genetic engineering to avoid going extinct, but Federation law banned that because genetic engineering cheeses off humans. Then it eventually came out that Starfleet Command had a magic bullet to cure the Andorian populaton crisis, but never shared it with the Andorians because it relied on illegal genetic engineering. So, Andoria gave the Federation the finger and instantly seceded.
Something which probably seemed a little more shocking before canon established that the Federation falls apart in the 30th century and even Earth leaves because they became a Brexit/MAGA analogy.

The Maquis didn't flee the Federation. They were farm larpers that colonized a planet that the Federation provided and which was later ceded to the Cardassians as part of a peace. They were free to stay and live in Cardie space or could leave and get a new planet. They chose to stay and started to ape out when it became clear that *surprise* Cardies wouldn't just leave them in peace. They became a danger to the peace treaty.

        Manifest destiny!

They could always move their manifest destiny colonies somewhere else with no serious downsides. It's not similar to Earth, where you ultimately have very limited desirable space, there are gorillion habitable empty planets in and around federation space they can peacefully move to and the federation even proposed moving and setting them up for free. They made a completely moronic choice and died for literally nothing.

You missed the point of the character. For however bad he was, he truly believed he was creating a better future for Cardassia until they made him into a meme. They did the same thing with Gowron.

I'm guessing the homosexual limp wristed writers couldn't stomach it.

I don't think Gowron cared about anything other than his own political power.
Martok actually cared about the empire and his fellow man.

It’s like public housing. You get put on waiting list and only the people with a friend working on the inside get what they want. Why else do you think off world settlers are so against giving up their quaint colonies? They don’t want to be put back on the list. A similar thing happened with Kira’s ex-terrorist buddies who were on the list to get heavy farm equipment but then the state wanted it back so they rebelled. Welcome to fully realized communism.

That's not the point. Why does HE get to have a restaurant there, and no one else? What entitles him to own that property, if economic wealth is not a factor?
What if I wanted to own a restaurant, but there's literally no spaces available? There's no way I can ever compete for one, because there is no competition; I can't work to amass wealth until I can rent or purchase my own space, I have no mechanism to participate in my own destiny, the government controls everything.
