I'm liking it, though I like all his work I've read.

    >What if Batman made Ultron?
Batman keeps on making stuff that tries to kill his friends he's not going to have any friends left

    No.

    Mid. Recycled. Predictable.

All building up to the 74567886th resolution of "Family is important!"

Absolutely not. It’s as mediocre as his daredevil. I feel bad for Jimenez, hasn’t worked with a good writer in years.

      His art isn't good anyways

There were some absolutely gorgeous panels in Tynion's post-King Batman run, shame it's kind of a mess dealing with the King/DC editorial's shitty status quo.

Still the greatest modern Batman panel ever to be made.

Shame Punchline is a flop of a villain. I wanted to like her, but just can’t.

Failsafe is a premise that manages to be good despite being sort of goofy.

    The bad:
None of this would be a problem if Batman had conceived that Alfred might die one day.
Zur En Aarh kind of makes me wish I was reading something by Morrison.

    The good:
Batman vs Batman is an amusing fight. Usually Batman is the only one who actively strategizes, but here the villain does as well. Even Hurt just sort of had a gameplan and didn't improvise much. But Batman vs Failsafe is more like a chess match.

It’s a tired and played out concept, have you bever read age of ultron or infinite crisis? It sounds like you don’t read many comics.

Ultron isnt a batman strategist. Ultron is a story about AI and Hank as a person. Also try not to be an butthole when someone makes a legitimate post. We can use more of those on this board

This and the Daredevil renumbering were the first I read of his stuff and I don't care for it. Better than King, but that's not a high bar to cross.

If your reading the stuff after Devils Reign you need to go back and read the start of the run.

I know it builds off that run but between that and Batman I think I just don't like Zdarsky's writing

A little to early to call it. I think the failsafe stuff has been fine. I trust Zdarsky the backups have been great and his other work with Bruce has been good. Got enough goodwill to keep reading for awhile.

Also art has been fantastic so even if it goes down the drain I'll probably keep skimming it.

Issue 1 wasn't up to the usual BTAA standards but it was fine enough set-up, Issue 2 on the other hand got things rolling even more with a lot of interesting threads

It's pretty solid! Though we haven't gotten past the first arc, so really hard to tell. The Knight is awesome, though.

What do you think of The Knight?

It's really, really excellent. Doesn't 100% line up with Year One, but it's very close, and it does a great job of making Bruce loveable.

I'm liking the back ups the most. Especially from the last two issues.

It’s dragging out what should be a 3 issue arc way to long.
