You know that Thanos is as strong as the Hulk, a more powerful psychic than professor X, and has more powerful cosmic blasts than Silver Surfer, right? Wanda is at the level of Thanos if not above. Saying that just because someone' power is niche means that they're the best at it is horribly wrong. Cyclops' niche is energy blasts from his eyes, yet Iron Man and Thor have way more powerful blasts. When you reach S-tiers and above the characters usually have many powers instead of niche singular powers, and these guys are much more powerful than the street tier niche characters.

Xavier isnt even the strongest telepath in his own setting. In the movies, Jean is a stronger telepath than Xavier. In the comics, Jean, Rachel, Quentin, Moondragon, Psi-Hawk, and etc are a stronger telepath than Xavier in the comics.
