Did maverick kill Israel
I don't remember the Hispanic being named that. But to be fair, Israel is a surprisingly common first name for beaners.
is this movie good?
It's good propaganda.
>nothing had any consequences which took away from the meaning of the scenes. For example there's a scene where a pilot passes out due to high G forces and almost crashes his plane. This has pretty much no impact on anything and the scene is just kind of there. It would have made sense if it was Hangman that passed out from the G forces and that was why Maverick didn't choose him for the final mission
>speaking of Hangman, why wasn't he chosen for the final mission? Was Rooster the better pilot? They made it very clear that Hangman, while a bit of a dick, was most likely the best pilot there.
>romance plot was BAD. In the original Top Gun there was some tension to the Maverick/Charlie love story. She was technically his commanding officer, she had to dress him down during a flight sim briefing, etc. We also learned about Maverick and his relationship with his father when he was with Charlie. In this movie he gets reacquainted with Penny, they go out a few times, he's in love, that's it. Maybe write it so that Penny is done with falling in love with pilots due to her ex-husband leaving her. Maybe have her object to Maverick going on that final mission due to how dangerous it is.
>Maverick pulls Roosters Naval Academy application. Does he have the power to do this? He's just a Captain. He's not related to Rooster. How does Mav have this much power?
>the volleybal-er, football scene. Another throwback that really was wasted. In the original the volleyball scene showed how both sides weren't just competitive in the air, they wanted to beat each other at everything. In this movie the football on the beach was a team building exercise. Ok, fair enough. But by the time the scene starts it seems like everyone is already having a great time. We don't see them playing hard against each other, then naturally loosening up. You would have never guessed that Rooster and Hangman almost came to blows a few minutes ago when Hangman brought up Goose.
Yeah, its like how early in the movie Maverick is almost grounded by the drone loving Admiral, and I thought the reveal was going to be that the final enemy SU-57s which were only ever referred to as "5th gen fighters" were going to be revealed to be drones so you'd have Maverick in his F-14 proving that human pilots are better even when at a disadvantage, but no they're just dehumanized enemy pilots that we don't have to feel bad about him killing.
It also seems to just completely gloss over the fact that the carrier battle group would be under threat and that this kind of strike would almost certainly start a major war.
This too. They really set this up as "human pilots vs drones" then it went to your typical "secret mission and we need the best pilots" stuff. It would have been great if Mav was in his F14 and he beat a bunch of Russian drones in the end.
Yeah I don't get it either, when they started talking about drone I basically assumed the movie was going to be about that, but I'm pretty sure no one even say the word "drone" once Cruise gets back to Top Gun.
>speaking of Hangman, why wasn't he chosen for the final mission? Was Rooster the better pilot? They made it very clear that Hangman, while a bit of a dick, was most likely the best pilot there.
Hangman did the exact same thing as young Maverick did in training, leaving his wingman, hanging, hence his callsign.
>Maverick pulls Roosters Naval Academy application. Does he have the power to do this? He's just a Captain. He's not related to Rooster. How does Mav have this much power?
He probably got Iceman to do it for him. Ice was also kinda indirectly respondible for Goose's death after all so probably went with it.
>Hangman did the exact same thing as young Maverick did in training, leaving his wingman, hanging, hence his callsign.
That was very early on. After the football scene they all seemed to be a team and there was literally no more talk of "Hangman is still leaving his wingman". The purpose of this training with Mav was to prepare them for the mission and the only one that seemed to have trouble was the guy that passed out from the g forces.
>He probably got Iceman to do it for him.
Impossible. Rooster would have applied to the academy right out of high school or after a few years in enlisted Navy when he was late teens/early 20s, so this was around late 90s early 00s. No way Ice as a Pacific Fleet Commander or Admiral yet.
He literally left his wingman behind during the canyon training, and just brushed it off saying he couldn't keep up
>He literally left his wingman behind during the canyon training, and just brushed it off saying he couldn't keep up
That was early on. Pre football scene.
Is this a pasta? Frick off autist
>Is this a pasta? Frick off autist
consoom product
>don't like things i don't want you to like.
>They should have used a bunch of overused tropes!
Frick off
this is biased and nitpicking. Only a israelite would write a review like this.
Second best movie of the last 10 years at least after Druk
Extremely
You'll only hear sbowflakes saying it's good because it's making other people cry. In this case you will have to watch it yourself because you'll only hear biased moronic things about it in here.
If you like the traditional mindless Hollywood blockbusters of the 80s and 90s you're going to love it. Sometimes tropes are a good thing instead of the endless subversion of them we've seen in recent years.
This is how I honestly felt. If this movie was made 30 years ago, it would have been better than average because of the way it was filmed. But by today's standards, it's amazing.
yeah and its one of the few that needs to be seen on imax imo
Nothing but Cruise kino, and the first movie in a while I actually bothered to watch in IMAX that was worth it
It’s best movie of the decade
Best action movie of the 2020s.
it's fricking trash
Yes, but only in theaters.
Yes. The problem is that certain kinds of people have deemed it 'problematic' like Smiling Friends.
Top Gun 2 has a 97% on RT. What the frick are you talking about, you fricking moron?
And Smiling Friends has a 94%. Are you autistic?
He's saying it has a 97% from critics, unlike the shows in your image which don't have any reviews from critics.
>highway to jerusalem starts playing
jews shilling for scientologists?
post nose
This board is only for the mentally ill and the brown. God help me for still posting here.
A board where mother fricking Top Gun is scrutinized. You joyless sad fricks
you need to go back
>NOOOO YOU CAN'T CRITICIZE THIS BRAND! I LIKE IT!
Holy shit lmao
>I WANT TO CONSUME THE PRODUCT. DON'T SAY BAD THINGS ABOUT THE PRODUCT!!!
Half of the people here are brainwashed /misc/ autists, the others are just regular autists being contrarian as usual.
Post nose
>propaganda somehow the best movie since 2015-ish
ouch what happened
The rest of it is just propaganda of a different kind.
I dunno I thought Dune, Possessor, and Ghostbusters Afterlife we're great
Hollywood just pretends they forgot how to make movies. When the propaganda is needed they suddenly know how to make kino again.
Some of us don't like the fact that our country is subservient to some shithole in the middle east.
NO MORE WARS FOR israeliteS
How's the weather in Tel-Aviv?
An anon said yesterday some of tv will trash this movie. Who knows if that anon was israeli
I'm going to be honest, the whole Middle East is just a clusterfrick, and I don't want any more Americans to die over that shit heap. Israel wants to start a war it can't win? Fine, don't drag the US into it or have the US fight your battles. Stay in your lane, Israel. I say that with no love for fricking Iran, Iraq, Syria fricking Mos Eisley or whatever the frick other little states are over there.
Miles Teller fricking sucks.
Also the entirety of the Middle East deserves to get glassed.
Miles Teller is a better actor than Tom Cruise.
You're a disgrace OP.
Why don't Israel do their own dirty work?
Why sacrifice your own men when you can get goymutts to do the dying?
Mutts are expendable
Why does the American government get to decide what country is allowed to have nuclear weapons? Did they ever ask the UN before continuing their own nuclear program?
>implying israel wouldn't do it themselves
they've been bombing nuclear facilities for decades
>Jesus frick whats with all the fricking sand Black folk crying about this movie?
are they? do they live in very snowy climates?
Also, I hate these soulless fricking movie posters now. They are so generic and lifeless.
You know that the US government has an entire deparment in the pentagon dedicated to reading hollywood scripts right? If a script shines a positive light on the Armed Forces, they even "invest" in the film and allow them to use tanks/planes/soldiers etc.
Hollywood is propaganda.
Yep. It's how the first Top Gun managed to film jets in action and aircraft carriers with just a 15 million budget. It was just military funded propaganda and Tom Cruise knew this and purposefully distanced himself from a sequel for all these years. He even went on to make Born on the 4th of July which is an anti war movie.
What's hilarious about this point is that most sand Black folk would cheer a US strike on Iran. The Arabs, except for Syria, HATE Iran.
The only thing arabs hate are their US and Israel deepthroating dictators. Iran is an enemy to those and Israel.
Over a million Arabs killed each other in Iraq and Syria fighting over muh Mohammed successor since 2003.
The last movie that Cinemaphile liked was Blade Runner 2049 because the protagonist was an autistic incel loser. They need to make more movies like that in order for people on here to actually enjoy cinema
Or maybe could learn to like something that's not about how miserable they are.
Why don't you normies stick to reddit? Why come here?
The drone thing was practically a throwaway line, you guys are such autists. they hyped up the fifth gen jets just as much. The important part was him saying "but isn't today.". The most important thing about Mav is his humanity, a) that sees protecting the lives of his pilots just as important as the mission where Cyclone was basically willing to send them on a suicide run, and b) following his intuition, "not thinking" which considers necessary and teaches Rooster how to do. The point wasn't that he needs to prove drones are bad, the point was he's better, because he's a human being. This was so good because before it's an action movie, it's a character study.
>The drone thing was practically a throwaway line
?
The tone and direction of the movie is usually established early on. That would be like if The Death Star and Vader are no longer mentioned in Star Wars because they were just "throwaway lines".
>it's another movie about how people who represent state sanctioned violence should just go by instinct and never think
Thanks, I now know to avoid it.
lol browns mad at cruise kino
Like I said, fricking autists. Hung up in a tiny detail and ignoring all the big stuff.
>Like I said, fricking autists. Hung up in a tiny detail and ignoring all the big stuff.
The movie was meh at best.
>the volleybal-er, football scene. Another throwback that really was wasted. In the original the volleyball scene showed how both sides weren't just competitive in the air, they wanted to beat each other at everything. >what was the point of the Ed Harris character. He's pretty much "Admiral that is against Mav" same way the Jon Hamm Admiral is. So why even bother having 2 of them?
>THE MUSIC. What. A. Disappointment. Were there any new songs? They couldn't pay Kenny Loggins (or find someone else) to write and record a blazing, upbeat 80s rock songs? Oh, but they used The Who's "Won't Get Fooled Again"...a song from the 70s, in a modern movie which is a sequel to an 80s movie. What a missed opportunity.
What the frick even us this pasta who the hell said this shit, you?
Hope the sequel is about Israel's warcrimes in Palestine
And that's a... bad thing?
Iranians are enemies of the free world and if they threaten our people, we shall act, just like we splattered that bug Soleimani.
>US has military bases in every country surrounding Iran, a fleet in the persian gulf, and nukes ready to deploy at a moment's notice because... they threaten OUR PEOPLE!
>dey want our freedumbs!!
Did you just emerge from a time capsule from the year 2003?
Dude you've got like four threads going at the same time with this fricking pasta what the frick is wrong with you? And you're getting btfo in ALL of them
People are supporting moar war for Israel?
You /misc/ homosexuals need to get off your high horse and realize making a good movie is more important than your moronic conspiracy
Kill, and I mean this with the deepest sincerity, yourself
You are the very definition of a model consumer.
>just consume the product idiot! If it's high quality, who cares if it's propaganda designed to manufacture support for another bullshit war that will probably be worse than all the wars since Vietnam
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH
this is real propaganda. Not black people or women in the movies.
Watch better movies.
Good Kill:
>wahhh i had to look at a screen of people dying. >wahhh they ordered me to drop a bomb wahhh.
being propaganda doesn’t make something bad. battleship potemkin is commie lies and the passion of joan of arc is christgay lies yet they’re both amazing movies
There are zero lies in the passion of joan of arc.
>it's not propaganda if i agree with it
t. hasn’t even watched it
i did tho
Well what was untrue about it? The guy who directed studied the actual court case for like 2 years. It’s an account of what actually happened. You can say it’s pro christian propaganda, but it isn’t lies.
>You can say it’s pro christian propaganda, but it isn’t lies.
your lack of self awareness is amusing
ok you clearly haven’t watched it. it’s an accurate account of her trial and what actually happened. facts can be used as propaganda because they portray joan in a very sympathetic light- but they don’t really stretch the truth or lie.
https://vimeo.com/169369684
They think shitslam is le based and not a savage death cult that reverses a pedo
BASED.
Jew
Israelis can already launch bombing raids in to Iran on their own.
lol no
They wish
Did they ever explain why they couldn't use the more advanced f35s and had to use f18s instead. Obviously the real life reason is because there are no 2 seater f35s so they wouldn't be able to film the actors in the backseat.
Yeah, they mention something about the terrain messing with the GPS systems of the 35.
shame that disney shills have become this desperate to stop people from watching this movie
Iran has snow and Su-57s?
>snow
yes
>Su-57s
no
>I-IT’S PROPAGANDER FOR…FOR…ISRARL!!!
>ITT
>UH UH ISRAEL SOMETHING A BLOO BLOO
Thevreal question is if we're gettijg kino Top Gun games again
You got to be fricking kidding me..
That cant be the plot.
Americans aren't known for subtlety.
Everyone hate sandBlack folk but everyone still prefers them to israelites
