>There is a difference between you and me. We both looked into the abyss, but when it looked back at us, you blinked.
I didn't really care for William Baldwin voicing Batman, but he delivered that line well.
This is just a stupid line. Bruce blinked too, otherwise he wouldn't have become Batman. He used his own fear against criminals, that's the entire point of his character.
Exactly, he's the opposite of Batman, so he became consumed by fear and let him dictating his motives specifically the idea about obliterating reality. That line is just trying to sound cool but makes no sense.
Owlman became mindbroken from the abyss, he couldn't handle it which is why he tried to end existence, he blinked. Batman never blinked, he stares into the abyss and refuses to let it affect him.

DON'T LET YOUR MEMES BE DREAMS
Crisis on Infinite Earths was supposed to be a set in the DCAU, in between the events of Justice League and Justice League Unlimited, but instead we got A Better World.
Also didn’t that episode influence Injustice?
That was the best DC animated media ever, loved every version of each character
Was so disappointed when I learned the Question wasn't really like that in other appearances and that there's a female lesbian version of him as well
Just finished the Morgan LeFey/Etrigan episode. Some kino parts, like Martian Manhunter telling Batman he doesn't know what it's like to lose everyone you love.
Justice League/Unlimited Wonder Woman is my favorite design of her. It is so simple looking, yet so hot. And if you build her on her base design a little and fill in the extra anatomy bits that you don't get in the show... fug
I agree 100% just dont like her portrayal as an angry b***h because it is contrary to how I would like her portrayed. Shes either pissed off of really stupid in this show, and they didnt pull enough from her comics.
I know it's a cape flick but the idea of someone with Batman's intellect who is completely nihilistic and has a perfect plan to end the universe always seemed creepy.
In the comics, he and Bruce ended up killing Thomas and Martha, but Bruce realizes at the last second that this is wrong but is killed by Alfred. This Thomas, Jr. never recovered from Bruce’s death
Because the Owl works as a repudiation of his philosophy, and loses at the end, while the Batman Who Laughs is given constant villain wank to make him the MOST POWERFULLEST bad guy.
>Superboy Prime's canon power became punching reality, so he punched the reality out of Batkek who had fused with Dr Manhattan to become God Batkek
Prime's ending and Krypto were nice, but other than that everything that's related with Batkek is moronic as frick.
>batman who laughs is cringe?
Because he's poorly written and the plot bends to serve him right up until the very end when the heroes will pull a clutch victory.
Also his actual design looks fricking moronic, his backstory is contrived and his personality is just the Joker but "smart".
But the worst thing about him is that he overstays his welcome which is something no villain should ever do.
this movie is kinda weird because it was originally meant to be part of the DCAU and it fits pretty neatly between JL and JLU except for the characters being different
>"From what I gather, we are very much alike. Everything about you tells the tale. Your attitude, your costume, your tactics. They all scream of outrage, despair, vengeance. What terrible wrong was done to set you on this path? It doesn't really matter. Nothing matters."
It is sad that Owlman I'm sure could have understood well what drove Batman out of his mind with the loss of his parents and why it turned him into a mentally ill creature, that seeks revenge every moment of his life. The problem was because how the universe was designed, it didn't matter if Batman got his revenge or not. He changed things a little in his world, but created infinite more worlds, all by himself, with all kinds of variables. When faced with that realization, it sapped all of Owlman's energy to care about anything. What is the point of punching Joker when in another universe you didn't, or you punched him twice instead of once
Am I the only one who really likes the idea of heroes and villains switching their roles? I'm surprised they don't go a little more into that kind of stuff in movie adaptation and stuff. A movie based off Earth 3 would be pretty cool.
Owlman had everything a man could ask for. In his exo-suit, he had strength of such degrees that even Wonder Woman was overpowered by him. His intellect reduced his peers to his playthings. He had not-Wonder Woman, pretty much the peak female, to sink his nuts into every night if he wanted to. He could get harems. He could get the finest food and the most delicious liquor. All the world was beholden to him, he could want for nothing
He likely ended up like Frank in Hellrasier, who summoned the cenobites out of his growing indifference for the world. Self indulgence as he knew it no longer had meaning because there was nothing left he could experience. Filling your day with food, drink, sex, gets stale. You strive for something greater, something more meaningful
Imagine being Owlman and trying to find that meaning, only to learn there was no actual goal he could reach that would mean anything in the grand scheme of things. Nothing beyond empty self-indulgence, either punching people, eating, fricking, but that's it. That's all life holds for you. Excessive decadence, but no grand purpose. And the reason this happened is because of mankind. Man ruined everything. They stole your purpose from you. You hate everyone, including yourself
>"No... Not good. Never good. After all, I'm only human."
Batman's enemy is those with an evil soul like the man who killed his parents. Owlman's enemy is all of humanity who robbed him of a reason to care about anything at all
He and you never explain why man is the problem. If only ants existed, there would still be an infinite amount of earth's; one where an ant decided to climb up a plant and one where it didn't and branching out ad infinitum. Ultimately, Owlman's actions are one of a child's tantrum. If he can't feel like a unique snowflake because there exists a world of every opposing action then we might as well just destroy it all. Humanity didn't rob Jim of the ability to care, him realising his actions are not special did
I'm pretty sure Batman & Harley Quinn was styled after the DCAU but not in continuity with it. Justice League vs The Fatal Five was meant to be DCAU however.

Batman Beyond is an alternate universe. JLU is where TNBAS Bruce ends up
JLU ending leads into Beyond

>There is a difference between you and me. We both looked into the abyss, but when it looked back at us, you blinked.
I didn't really care for William Baldwin voicing Batman, but he delivered that line well.
This is just a stupid line. Bruce blinked too, otherwise he wouldn't have become Batman. He used his own fear against criminals, that's the entire point of his character.
The opposite would have been more accurate (Batman blinked, Owlman never stopped staring into the abyss)
Thanks for reiterating what I just said in the post above yours. It's still a stupid line and makes no sense.
>refused to let it affect him
>he wastes his entire life obsessed with fighting a futile war against crime that alienates everyone he ever knew
lol
Bruce fights the good fight, that's the point.
With his voice as the host of galaxy radio?
ok now condense that down to a snappy, memorable one-liner and I think you've got a shot as a Hollywood writer now that they're hiring.
>I'm going to destroy the multiverse because I'm 14 and I just mastered critical thinking
To be fair the multiverse shit is just bizzare especially when you already have established time travel and intergalactic stuff. I'd wipe it all too.
The next film is gonna be
>"Infinite Crisis"
No mention of Superboy Prime or Alexander Luthor.
Rewatching the Justice League (kino) series.
After the "Unlimited" episodes, did they ever make an animated film in this universe?
Batman and Harley Quinn 2017
Hmm... looks like you're right. That's more of a sequel to Batman The Animated Series, than JLU though.
Maybe it's a prequel to Justice League.

DON'T LET YOUR MEMES BE DREAMS
dont watch this dogshit movie...or the killing joke either.
Justice League vs Fatal Five
Crisis on Infinite Earths was supposed to be a set in the DCAU, in between the events of Justice League and Justice League Unlimited, but instead we got A Better World.
Also didn’t that episode influence Injustice?

>mfw first time ever seeing lesbo Question was in DC Universe Online
>The plastic tips at the ends of your shoelaces are called aglets. Their true purpose... is sinister.
they had to destroy The Question as a character just like the Punisher
Please read the comics if you like his character. Dont just look for media adaptations.
based jeffrey combs enjoyer
he also does a great kiteman in batman: brave and the bold
The Question's 80s series is pretty damn good, though it's slightly different from the way the cartoon did him
Harley Quinn the current show which is realjy good.
Justice League vs The Fatal Five was set in the DCAU
Justice League/Unlimited Wonder Woman is my favorite design of her. It is so simple looking, yet so hot. And if you build her on her base design a little and fill in the extra anatomy bits that you don't get in the show... fug
Susan Eisenberg is also the best voice for Wonder Woman.
I agree 100% just dont like her portrayal as an angry b***h because it is contrary to how I would like her portrayed. Shes either pissed off of really stupid in this show, and they didnt pull enough from her comics.
These Fatal Five. How fatal are they?
this was my personality before i discovered Ryan Gosling
james woods was good here
I know it's a cape flick but the idea of someone with Batman's intellect who is completely nihilistic and has a perfect plan to end the universe always seemed creepy.
he would've gotten away with it if not for eternal batwank
Technically, how many characters did Batman kill? Quick and Owlman, that's 2.
Technically quick killed himself and olwman was left there to die by his own boom
New chad face?
He was right.
Not that it didn't matter, that the only real choice was to destroy everything.
pure, unadulterated kino
I don't watch cartoons.
What the FRICK was his problem?
In the comics, he and Bruce ended up killing Thomas and Martha, but Bruce realizes at the last second that this is wrong but is killed by Alfred. This Thomas, Jr. never recovered from Bruce’s death
Owls
Too nihilistic
Too much Superwoman pussy
Is that why he lets his woman fool around with Batman?
why does the owl work but the batman who laughs is cringe?
Because the Owl works as a repudiation of his philosophy, and loses at the end, while the Batman Who Laughs is given constant villain wank to make him the MOST POWERFULLEST bad guy.
>loses at the end
>And doesn't even care when he does
Superboy Prime can and did defeat TBWL
Superboy Prime, one of their most powerful bad guys?
>Superboy Prime's canon power became punching reality, so he punched the reality out of Batkek who had fused with Dr Manhattan to become God Batkek
Prime's ending and Krypto were nice, but other than that everything that's related with Batkek is moronic as frick.
Yeah after he dominated everything for a couple of years of stories because Batman
>batman who laughs is cringe?
Because he's poorly written and the plot bends to serve him right up until the very end when the heroes will pull a clutch victory.
Also his actual design looks fricking moronic, his backstory is contrived and his personality is just the Joker but "smart".
But the worst thing about him is that he overstays his welcome which is something no villain should ever do.
the fricking broly of DC comics.
That design looks like an even gayer Voldo without the charm. How does he see with the band over his eyes?
Because this is just the Joker with a Batman skin. Almost all the other alternate Batmen were more interesting.
Batkek served as a good anchor point for Wally to get a moment to shine
What is this?
Bruce Wayne of Earth 44, A.K.A. Cyborg Batman
Batkek recruited a bunch of evil Batmen from various universes and this is one of them.
She did not deserve to be in such a shitty series.
underwater sexo
All of them were more interesting than Batkek. Also, the Grim Knight deserves his own ongoing series.
Peak Batman wank.
>If Batman turned evil he could TAKE OVER THE UNIVERSE
>le nihilists would actually le piss themselves if you pointed a gun to their head!
>meanwhile Owlchad
Could a live action Owlman kino work?
>directed by Zack Snyder
Zack would have him portrayed as right.
How does Owlman screw with Gotham? He's an orderly mob boss type that does crime but isn't a psycho about it? Thus a foil to regular Gotham villains?
Batman: The Brave and the Bold is kino and I'm tired of pretending it's not.
Who said it wasn't?
The one time multiverse shit was done well
this movie is kinda weird because it was originally meant to be part of the DCAU and it fits pretty neatly between JL and JLU except for the characters being different

James Woods was great
There was something really funny about Joker being a good guy in the Owlman universe
Am I the only one who really likes the idea of heroes and villains switching their roles? I'm surprised they don't go a little more into that kind of stuff in movie adaptation and stuff. A movie based off Earth 3 would be pretty cool.
They had a series of good films, it went down hill after that JL origin.
Under the Red Hood and Reutnrs are also great. Wonder Woman is good and also worth watching.
War is mehish, what followed is between meh and straight up bad.
Gotham by Gaslight and Red Son were decent
Man this early era of the DC animated movies had some real kino. Shame it's slid into forgettable territory over the years.
Why was Superman such an out-of-character dick in this?
Owlman had everything a man could ask for. In his exo-suit, he had strength of such degrees that even Wonder Woman was overpowered by him. His intellect reduced his peers to his playthings. He had not-Wonder Woman, pretty much the peak female, to sink his nuts into every night if he wanted to. He could get harems. He could get the finest food and the most delicious liquor. But why did Superwoman go along with his plan knowing it would kill her?
She's probably bored of the high life and has nothing better to do
I wonder how exactly they got Woods on board. Or does do reagularly voice work?
Of course he does. It's not like he's been big in live action films any time in the last two decades.
He's done VO since at least the 90s with Hercules and then he was in the Kingdom Hearts games and San Andreas.
Posting the most kino two parter in DC animation history.
>Having a fun sleepover at one of the most reviled bad guys on Earth's house
What a great episode
>"You ready to send me back?"
>"No... but I will anyway."
;_;
Vandal Savage is an underrated villain. I wish he was the villain in the new DCEU movies and not some fricking aliens
really liked vandal in the dcau
>It's no matter
>Never mind
>No. more. debate. Now, I kill you.
I'm pretty sure Batman & Harley Quinn was styled after the DCAU but not in continuity with it. Justice League vs The Fatal Five was meant to be DCAU however.
NOTHING MATTERS
>Left there with the bomb
>Doesn't even try to escape "in the end, it doesn't matter"
and nothing else matters
Superwoman was really hot, I think it's the fringe cut and long ponytail.
Cheer up Owlman, in a few moments you'll experience oblivion.
Why is Marvel unable to produce kino like DC does?
Owlman is based. Kicks the shit out of Batman, was never good, and is banging Superwoman.
