I think the most critical thing to understanding the hidden meaning of this film and especially if it's that she was being pimped out, is the last line of the film. "I can't say it. Bye." I think a lot of people myself included might think that's what she "Couldn't say" was "Bye" but really the opposite is indicated. First and foremost she doesn't really miss a beat between the two sentences. She basically if not literally says she can't say it "so" bye. Then of course if you remember she is absolutely losing her fricking mind. She's already told her that she'll never see her again. So it's not that. And I mean I cannot stress it enough how she is losing her mind she is so upset. And this is arguably the most strong willed little girl ever portrayed in the history if film. And she gives a frick about saying bye to someone? No way in hell. She meant it. She can't say it. Gee I wonder what could be so intense?
