    >Why are Cinemaphilecels cheering that an original movie made with passion and love is bombing in the box office?
    1. It's not an original movie, it's a shitty spinoff of the most divisive Mad Max movie.
    2. It may be a passion project but passion can be misplaced, and it is here.
    3. It's a Mad Max movie without Mad Max, the character in the title. That'd be like making a Kiki's Delivery Service sequel and calling it Gigi: A Kiki's Delivery Service Saga.

the title of the movie is Furiosa not mad max

Either way, it's dumb for marketing. Either make it a standalone film unconnected to Mad Max or make a Mad Max movie.

It narrowly flopped but was one of the last movies to make a killing on home video and has a following to this day. That's more than I can likely say for Furiosa in the coming years.

I understand that, I'm speaking generally as to why it underperformed amongst the GA,

viral marketing is dirt cheap; they use small companies that claim to be ultra cutting line edge of the web surf highway with AAA clients!!!! and the distributors or whoever throw a few thousand at them, which is insignificant money to them.
we then have to suffer seeing perpetual viral marketing from the worst films out, because it's cheap.
they pay university students minimum wage to spam the stuff after having convinced them that "it'll look great on their cv" and that "they'll be working side by side with some of the biggest names in hollywood".
in reality it's like handing out fliers in the street where no one wants them, no one wants to see you doing it or to be offered them, and no one wants to go to the thing you're advertising like a parasite.

He has a loose grip on his tribe, the para biker guy with the horns was sort of a sub leader who had his own clique. I think between Dementus and Immortan Joe even the toughest meanest dudes are kind of at the mercy of the ones who can tap in to myth and history and drive crowds.

    >Why are Cinemaphilecells cheering that an original movie made with passion and love is bombing in the box office?
The age of laughable boss-chick is coming to an end and maybe we'll get a Mad Max movie with Mad Max in it eventually.

You know what would fix this? If it never existed

I also liked it but it would have been better with Max. Furiosa stopped doing cool stunts half way through the movie and just sat in the driver's seat the whole time after

        no it doesnt
        >dementus trades furiosa to immortan joe
        >immortan joe makes furiosa one of his wives
        >furiosa watches one of immortan joe's wives give birth
        >immortan joe's son rictus creeps out furiosa
        >furiosa cuts off her hair to make a wig and escape rictus
        >rictus cant find furiosa
        >furiosa is becomes a war boy or part of the mechanic's crew

          >rictus cant find furiosa
          >furiosa is becomes a war boy or part of the mechanic's crew

Is this the step you're missing? She disguised herself as a boy and then just did whatever was asked. They didn't have roll call.

          >kidnapped by Rictus
          >escapes and hides among the war boys
          >posted to a menial job on the hoist
          >hoist breaks one day and Furiosa saves the car after being ordered to
          >promoted because the hoist dude was cowardly and wouldn't follow orders
          >time skip
          >Furiosa now works in the shop that is building the war rig
          >hides food on the truck and stows away on the undercarriage to escape the fortress
          >war rig is attacked enroute to Gastown unexpectedly
          >Furiosa has to protect it or she'll just be captured by the bandits
          >she and Jakc are the only survivors
          >selects her for his new crew because she showed courage and he has no one left to rely on

Why did imortan joe work with her again in fury road if she is such a c**t to him all her life?

It's explained in Fury Road, but you have to see Thunderdome in order to understand it.
