It was probably a good thing that Kamala was created during that inhuman push. If she was made to be a mutant at her inception she would have been chucked instantly onto a X-team and been lost in a sea of of other teen muties. No way, would she have been given the opportunity for a solo. The only Mutie with that privilege is Wolverine. Being a mutant is basically giving up any hope of solo stories and having character boiled down to simple tropes to fit a team dynamic.

They can still retcon her like they did Gwen, she deserves it for being the mouthpiece that caused it too.
She should go join the X-Men still. Just give back the name so someone else can use it and wear the costume, hopefully like the old Ms. Marvel.

Not really, or at least I don't believe so. Kamala was made specifically to be an independent hero with a unique outlook. There were a few new Inhumans created during that push that just immediately joined Inhuman teams. Kamala could have done the same but Marvel did not want that for her. She was meant to stand alone.
She would've been swallowed by the X-Men. They promoted her quickly with the Avengers and then she got swallowed up by them too.

Way back when Wilson was still writing kamala she made a big fuss about Ike donating to trump. In her post she mentions that ike was a major factor in her getting a solo. Kamala would not have gotten a book without the Inhuman push. If anything she would have been a side character for carol as she did originally appear in her book.

Yeah, I always liked Magik's original story line but I hate that this quickly happened to her.

I think Kamala has a certain x-factor (hurr hurr) working for her in that she has important traits that keep her in focus as a solo star, while other similar characters mutant or not have faded or been absorbed into team crap despite having well liked solo runs
