Between seasons 2-5, Lisa episodes were some of the best written television episodes ever. They were sweet, thoughtful, and sprinkled with good humour.

      Iceman

Because sure she was clever but she was still a kid. She wasn't above getting into fights with Bart and being bought off with ice cream and doing dumb girl shit. She wasn't always making a political statement or having her brother make personal sacrifices of his own growth just to sate her ego. Lisa has been a bad character that no man looks forward to watching because she's pretty unbearable comedy-wise.

Some Lisa episodes are great, like when she becomes a vegetarian, and when she tries to befriend strangers during summer vacation

And when she loses her saxophone, and when she needs braces, and when the new popular girl comes to Springfield.

Why do hispanics love Simpsons and DBZ so much?

        Anonymous

Because there are hispanic dubs to those shows that get shown on their TVs

Here in Argentina I remember that The Simpsons used to run from like 8 AM to 2 PM on the most popular national TV channel. Then it ran from 8 PM to 10 PM on Fox. You could always count on The Simpsons during family dinners and such. I gues that's why we're all so fond of it.

Who in the frick likes Lisa? Even the good seasons the worst episodes were Lisa-centric. Why did the writers give this stupid b***h screentime? Why write her at all? Every family sitcom, the worst girl is always the whiny kid sister. FRICK LISA

Shut your fricking prostitute mouth. Below are Lisa-centric episodes which are all-time great TV episodes, all genres.
      >Homer vs. Lisa and the 8th Amendment
      >Lisa's Substitute
      >Mr. Lisa Goes to Washington
      >Lisa's Pony
      >Lisa the Greek
Okay, I'm not even through season 3 and all Lisa-based episodes are absolute classics. You plebs are fricking embarrassingly out of your element.

All the Lisa centric episodes that are considered great are because of the antics of the other characters like Homer and Bart

          Anonymous

Yes. They hang their hats on a character having authentic beliefs and identifiable personality traits. More than can be said of Homer or Bart during that era.

        >Homer vs. Lisa and the 8th Amendment

        That's a Homer episode.

        >Lisa's Substitute

Overrated schmaltz, if you want Lisa themed Schmaltz I prefer the episode where Bleeding Gums Murphy dies.

        >Mr. Lisa Goes to Washington

Meh. Its a fine episode its not a classic.

        >Lisa's Pony

        Also a Homer episode.

        >Lisa the Greek

        Yet another Homer episode.

Lisa used to be an okay character when she was the intelligent foil to her family. Once she became a preachy sanctimonious mouth piece for the Democratic party's current agenda she lost all her soul.

Every modern Simpsons episode is a Lisa episode. Every single one. Even if the premise is "Bart does something" or "Homer does something" Lisa will somehow find a way to make it about her.

    Emotional Bart-centric episodes:
    >Bart despairs about his own intellectual failings and inability to succeed in school
    >Bart is worried he has lost his mother's love after he shoplifts
    >Bart symbolically sells his soul and then worries that his deed has done more damage than he thinks
    >Bart falls in love with a girl who is no good for him, and gets conflicted and hurt when he realizes he doesn't want to be as bad as her
    >Bart pranks the town into thinking a child fell down a well, but is forced to face the pain he's caused when the same fate befalls him for real

    Emotional Lisa-centric episodes:
    >Homer does not buy Saxophone products for Lisa and this makes her angry
    >Bart does not provide Lisa a birthday gift and this makes her angry
    >Lisa becomes a vegetarian and others don't change their beliefs and this makes her angry
    >Lisa becomes a buddhist and others don't change their beliefs and this makes her angry
    >Lisa is upset with her Malibu Stacy toy and no one else shares her beliefs and this makes her angry
    >Lisa encounters a girl who is prettier and more talented than her and this makes her angry

Literally none of your examples of Lisa episodes depict her as angry except the vegetarian episode. You either don't know what the word "angry" actually means or you're just a dumb homosexual.
She is so rarely angry and more often sad, disappointed, self-conscious, or morally conflicted; all very different from "angry."

Bullshit. It's self-consciousness and jealousy. Very different emotions from anger.

Because he's ignoring her very clear denials of his advances. That is a perfectly acceptable scenario to express anger. Also, that wasn't one of the named episodes I was replying about.
