It's Indigenous History Month

Post your favourite native characters or native characters in modern Cinemaphile medias
>What counts as a native for this thread?
Native minorities in their own native homeland
>Can I be european native
Yes, but unless you're a sami (that are considered natives by the government) it's a very loose term to apply for euros so it's better going with native american and oceanian since fits the minority native definition

Didn't Doctor Strange have a native american secretary at one point? They should bring her back for the MCU

Doesn't this just apply to American and Canadian injuns and Eskimos?

For example, are Maori considered native characters? The New Zealand government considers them indigenous but the Maori only got to new Zealand in the 14th century. When they arrived, they killed/displaced the people who were already living in New Zealand at the time.

Sorry, just an addendum: why not just specify natives in regards to North America? It's kind of a stretch to group together a bunch of diverse ethnic groups from across the world into a single category just because they feel like they occupy a similar culturally niche as the American Indian.

For example, are Egyptian Copts considered "natives"? They are the indigenous to Egypt and are the most closely related ethnic group to the Egyptians of late antiquity. Despite this, they are a minority in Egypt.

Believe it or not some American Indians dislike the terms Native American because of that reason. Some of them thought of that term is overinclusivity with other Ingenious American of South America.

Just out of curiosity, is there really an argument that "indian" is a better way to refer to indigenous inhabitants of North America as a whole because at least that name was applied out of simple ignorance and not stuck on them after the colonial governments fricked them over or is that just shit white people made up? Because while it sounds kind of believable and understandable, it also really sounds like shit white people made up

In Canada they're fine to go with "aborigines" or "first nations".

I remember aussie abos going in a identity crisis over the term aborigines.
At the end they kept it because was internalized enough in their communities and native australian seems more a plant or animal category in the context.
Indigenous or first Australian is fine too as a more classy term.
Speaking of which, is this meme month for oceanian abos too? Seems more for native americans than anyone else

According to most tumblr and twitter and normie sites it applies to native americans mostly.
And I can see why, it's a month started because of native americans in America so doesn't have to talk about native south africans or native indians as much as I wouldn't expect polish american pride month be applied to polish haitian people.

Yeah came in to say him, Steel Spider/American Eagle would have made a great basis for a D-list team up series

Superhuman strength, anything more than a half-hearted b***hslap and he'd tear Bullseye's head clean off since he just wanted to humiliate rather than kill him, making it a point that Bullseye was just a bully picking on relative weaklings like Daredevil and Elektra.
