it's one of the few shows where it's supposed to be a cringy, childish, reductive point of view of the world that gets turned on its head as the series progresses and elliot grows as a person, unfortunately because people's brains have been melted by memes any time a character says something even slightly critical of 'society' at large they get instantly filtered.

Mr. Robot manages to both be one of the most black pilled shows from the last couple years and also be one of the most hopeful. The direction the show takes after season 1 is some of the best ever.

Season 2 is very commie, with implied riots after the season 1 finale, but apparently they were peaceful. We all know lefty riots, especially for something of this magnitude would end with half the city burnt down. Not too black pulled. They also own drumpf epic style later on.
Drumpf has always been nothing more than a grifter, it's funny that some people will take the idea that he's a martyr of the people to their graves.
That being said, Mr Robot started as a well-done if unoriginal Fight Club ripoff and ended with progressively more moronic iterations of the same plot points and ideas just ramped up to 11 on each subsequent season.
