It didn’t come in on time, it got delayed twice due to the pandemic
Actually, fun fact, there’s a continuity error due to this. The film was originally set in 2019, “Thursday October 31st” was the year 2019, and you see the year 2019 on Selina’s unpaid bills in her apartment.
However, Thomas Wayne’s death was “exactly 20 years ago,” and the footage of him is marked “2001 campaign footage.” Due to the delay, the film is also set in the year 2021

Hello autismal moron. “Came in on time” is a reference to the project being finished on time by the director. Delays due to the pandemic are not a mark against the director. The comment you are replying to refers to the project being managed in time and on budget.

With 185M cost and 770M box office it’s a smashing success.
Justice League cost 300M and produced 657M doe comparison.
Or Thor L&T budget 250M, box office 667M.

The kindest thing you can say about The Batman's it wasn't a disaster at the box office, because I doubt they're ecstatic with a fresh Batman entry making only $750 million or whatever. The only two directors DC can trust right now are Todd Phillips and James Wan

        Correct.
        BvS budget: 250 - 300 million
        BvS box office: 872 million
        The Batman budget: 185 - 200 million
The Batman box office: 770.8 million
Compare those profit margins, and the fact that BvS was the first cinematic outing showing both Superman and Batman together on the big screen. Let's not even mention Justice League.

Plus legs. There’s gross, net, and legs
          BVS grossed more than TB
Net was basically the same. BVS gross 100 mill more, and cost 100 mill more
Legs wasn’t even a contest. The Batman kept making money every week. BVS literally holds a world record for largest second weekend drop off in history. They made a sequel to BVS, Justice League, and it flopped hard. Nobody wants anymore DCEU or Affleck, it was only popular in the first weekend of release. And because of that awful movie, some people don’t even want Batman anymore

The problem with Affleck is he’s sort of old, which may work for some story lines, but not for others.
The studio needs to find a decent charismatic actor, with acting skills, who can be used as a young Batman, and interchanged with Affleck as an older Batman, extending the Batman, and maybe the DC Universe over a wider time range, which would allow for more story flexibility, and Easter Eggs to be built in.

          >if he's too old then what the frick is keaton?
I was ignoring Keaton, since the rumor is that he’s going to be purged from future Wayne roles.
Affleck is currently 49, so if you need an older Batman going further he works.
Having someone in their early to mid twenties playing a younger version of Batfleck, would allow the filmmakers to show changes in Gotham over time, and introduce different villains, or different versions of the same villains, and would also give the opportunity to plant Easter Eggs in the back plot retroactively, possibly in a more sleek way than Marvel did.
Also, Zack Snyder should steal some of the comfy visuals from All Star Superman, to provide a lighter tone in future Superman films, even if the films remain dark.

      WB,
Snyder at least wanted Man of Steel 2 and WB wanted to rush their Cinematic Universe. They could’ve course corrected after BvS but they just doubled down.

WB needs to focus on making solo films since those have been much more successful. It's also much easier than attempting to create a cohesive cinematic universe

DC has been trying kickstart their cinematic universe since the 2000s. It’s insane how unlucky and incompetent they’ve been.

didn't like patersons batman, it waws stupid. The realationship between batmana nd catwoman was shit. Loved the originial batman returns relationship between batman and catwoman.

It would havenice if they just did a scene by scene copy of the batman year one batman was a novice but he was still strong and independent. That scene where batman falls and has catwoman save him was so off putting

700m is terrible for a Batman movie. It was greatly outperformed by Dr. Strange 2, and Spiderman No Way Home made twice as much. You also have to consider that they massively raised ticket prices specifically for this movie.
If WB didn't have a policy of race swapping and including alienating political propaganda, it would have easily crossed 1 billion. As it stands, they should cancel the sequel. They've already turned off too many people with the agenda, and the pretentious pseudo-realistic vision is too limiting for DC and waters down the soul and identity of the universe. Batman is a sci-fi/fantasy film series. Mr. Freeze shouldn't be some random serial killer who freezes corpses in an ice cream truck.
