Darth Maul is a pedophile and a homosexual. His story is about being groomed by an older man (Palpatine) into the homosexual lifestyle and becoming the next iteration of evil, trying to groom the next generation (Anakin). Maul was too rough so was rejected, but Palpatine was smart and used softer, more seductive techniques.
Anakins tale of the dark side is a commentary on the predatory nature of homosexuals.

I can't believe they are resorting to just re-releasing the prequels in order to make a profit from their purchase of star wars. disney is equal parts inept as gay.

I am a zoomer anon, I saw star wars growing up. the only people seeing star wars for the first time are gen alpha babies who haven't even formed a consciousness yet.
it's just that star wars is a dry well, the only avenue for profit is nostalgia that zoomers/millenials have for the prequels, amplified by the sequels blowing dick.

Serious question: Why don't you think the Original Trilogy isn't being used as much, or even at all?

The studio finally realized Luke is an annoying homosexual and no one cares about him

              Αnonymous

I feel like this is b8, so I will speak with sincerity.
I honestly think Luke is one of the most boring characters in the Original Trilogy.
When you think of cool characters in the OT, you think of
              >Darth Vader
              >Obi Wan
              >Han Solo
              >Yoda
              >Princess Alderaan (I forgot her real name.)
              >Boba Fett
              >Lando Calrissian
              >Jabba the Hutt
All much more exciting and oozing with personality.

The only thing I can say about Luke is that he's so boring and lifeless, that it must be so the audience can project themselves onto him.

                Anonymous

I think Luke's popularity was based on, aside from him obviously being the main protagonist, the fact that for the longest time he was the archetypal jedi. The movies didn't really show us other jedi who weren't old geezers or a villain in a breathing machine until the prequels.
So being a "jedi" meant being like Luke. He was the cool light saber guy.
Hell when I was a kid I remember some of the other kids calling Luke "Jedi" as if that was his name. Return of the Jedi was about the return of Luke, obviously.

Well yeah, before they started throwing a bunch of "You dont know this Jedi or the other 12 dozen of them but they escaped order 66!" Shit, Luke, Obiwan and Yoda were the only ones. After they both died Luke was supposed to be the last. Being a Jedi was special, not every motherfricker and their uninteresting back story was force sensitive

Disney could have just buy the ip and then make absurds amounts of money just re-releasing the damn things in their many versions. There was no need to make those awful sequels to milk the franchise.

And they would never make anywhere close to the profit Episode VII made that way. They fumbled the franchise but the first film they made was huge

You people need to understand that the sequels itself made a shit ton of money. Sure, they killed star wars in the big screen for a while, but the movies themselves made money

You also have to consider that Disney also paid $4 billion to even acquire the rights to Star Wars in the first place.

Then you’ll be happy with the exciting new series “The Acolyte” which will make you sequel lovers piss and shit your pants with exciting new character such as a strong black female Jedi who don’t need no man, a bunch of twin, non-binary Jedis and a rock.

Disney is rebooting the brand to cater to the Harry Potter generation. It’s gonna suck balls.
