I’m saying that because of 1 the market and 2 the inevitable diminishing returns. We have no idea how the world will be in the next couple years. Less and less people are gonna pay $25 apiece for a 3D movie when money is tight. And after Avatar 3, what more is there to say? They’ll probably try to move on from Jake and Neytiri after the next movie and then it’s a whole new franchise. But yeah Cameron aging or dying is another wrinkle. But my point is mostly with Disney hemorrhaging cash, the audience getting bored, and the inevitability of diminishing returns, it’s hard to see 4&5 being given the go ahead. The more production they’ve done the better but likely that has been amortized across productions and the bulk of the $ is in animation and rendering which probably only gets done in the final stages anyway.
I lurked in enough Avatar threads but don't get it either to be honest. Some are conservativefags that pretend to love the movie because it is about family values, there are also libtards who like it because of the colonialism metaphors, but there is also a good share of pajeets and weebs who get rockhard from the underage animated aliens

forgot the pseuds that think they moved past capeshit by watching avatar and shit on capeshit
>does the highest earning movie of all time appeal to most normal people? >no, it's actually these random groups of terminally online people that are definitely not the same as me
They're pretty and that's all a movie needs to do. Everything else is just a bonus. People tend to forget that movies are a visual medium first and foremost.
Kill the WGA literally worthless cumrags holding up actual creators
They do well because the world isn't full of terminally online, dunning kruger, internet-addicted midwit homosexuals like you. Anyone with a normal happy family around the world loves them because normal people are raised by their parents and real community, not by redlettermedia, mauler, and cinemasins.
>Kill the WGA literally worthless cumrags holding up actual creators
Fuck that noise, they're inadvertently healing society. Late night talk shows have been off the air for the better part of a month, and this is fucking Disney's shit up, who were already in dire straits before the strike even started. It's effectively killed capeshit and Starshit in one fell swoop as well. Not to mention that this is giving studios an opportunity to purge a lot of the activist commie homosexuals that have infiltrated their ranks over the last decade. From what I was hearing today, they're letting their contracts with BLM expire.
That would be funny, but I don't buy those rumors for one second. I was listening to a show earlier that shot it full of holes. Basically, he's like 80, and he sold it off to start with because he didn't want to burden his kids with it, and he's even closer to death now, and the franchise is in an even worse state than it was when he declared himself too old to deal with it anymore over a decade ago.
I'm scared that Bezos is going to buy it, after his Lord of the Rings ambitions fell on their face. Pesonally, I wish that Elon would buy it, declare everything after 2005 non-canon, mothball the whole thing, and just sell t-shirts.
The US is in a far bigger economic shitpile than people suspect. Japan wants to re-arm, but it's up to the US to allow them. However, the US needs to butter up their allies first, as overall our experience of the Japanese was of a savage swarm of subhuman animals up to their neck in war crimes. The ones they don't teach in Japanese schools. In return, Japan will help the US economically and militarily in that region in the coming years against Russia.
Never saw the first one but Avatar 2 was one of the worst films I’ve seen in theaters. Wouldn’t even justify a 2 hour runtime, never mind 3
The plot is abhorrent and a retread of 1, which was a retread of many films before it. But then people say “it’s not about the plot, it’s about the visuals” which I also found to be a waste of my life. There was so much mediocre CGI it felt like a cartoon rather than a movie
I genuinely don’t understand why people love it. James Cameron is capable of much better filmmaking but for some reason this is his passion
it’s not like it’s that hard to understand the plot of the first one you dolt. I haven’t seen it but here is what I know of it
>humans dosciover there’s unobtanium (lol, such a dumb name) on he planet >humans invade >the main dude comes across Zoey Saldana, they probably fight or something >slowly but surely, the main dude learns to like the aliens >he changes sides >he helps defeat the humans
It took me about 30 minutes to realize the plot is pretty much the same, but it's water aliens instead of jungle aliens. They even brought half the characters back to live because of a lack of inspiration, Not sure if it was just a rumor or confirmed that the next one will be fire aliens with most likely the same plot and characters
how do we convince normies to stop lapping up sequels, prequels, remakes and capeshit so that they come up with something fresh and original for a change, or is the national IQ already too low for that
You need to spend your life basking in the euphoria of being a noticer, posting about how bad movies are and how bad movie games are and how bad mudsharks are on 4ch all day.
I mean that's not really that unreasonable. How many years did it take for five Alien or Star Wars movies to come out? Horror movie style yearly franchise entries are the exception.
Avatar 3 is going to have a Terminator pop out from a time bubble and go on a rampage on Pandora looking for John Connor. The time machine that was going to send the Terminator back got damaged by the rebels and opened a split in the multiverse.
I heard a fairly compelling argument at one point that Alien, Avatar, Blade Runner, and something else that I'm forgetting right now all share a universe, so that's become my headcanon.
It does have zero cultural impact though. How can you even deny this?
Avatar 3 will make 3 billion and still have no cultural impact. Avatar 4 with make 4 billion and still have no cultural impact.
When it's 2025 and if Avatar 3 comes out by then (BIG IF) there will be tons of people laughing at the fact that they forgot it came out two years prior.
>these homosexuals think cultural impact is when you make gay homosexual tranny memes with other bald millennials in discord or on twitter
You aren't the MC, no one takes you seriously, no one even knows fags like you exist
i'm not an avatar guy, i didn't watch it in theaters but when i watched the movie at home i really did enjoy it. good visuals of course, but also a lot of characters, subplots and just a well paced movie
more excited for avatar 3 now than i was before i saw avatar 2
American Dad made an Avatar 2 joke at the exact right time when the Cinemaphile meme was at its height. I don't think it was a coincidence. They post here.
It’s hard to see anything coming out past Avatar 3
Do you not know Avatar 2 made nearly 3 billion dollars or are you just assuming Cameron's going to be dead by then?
Cameron won't last long. He needs to write movies now.
I’m saying that because of 1 the market and 2 the inevitable diminishing returns. We have no idea how the world will be in the next couple years. Have hope Avatar bros, Jimmy just needs more time to cook
We have a video game coming out this year
How many more days
920
Really don’t think the story is strong enough to carry on for 3 more movies. What special effects gimmick can they pull off as well?
How do these movies do so well? They’re mid at best
With so many characters and subplots, there is something for everyone to enjoy. Cameron knows how to direct a movie after all.
I lurked in enough Avatar threads but don't get it either to be honest. Some are conservativefags that pretend to love the movie because it is about family values, there are also libtards who like it because of the colonialism metaphors, but there is also a good share of pajeets and weebs who get rockhard from the underage animated aliens
>that pretend to love the movie
why are you projecting that? that's literally why i like it. it's wholesome but with cool scenes
sure buddy
forgot the pseuds that think they moved past capeshit by watching avatar and shit on capeshit
Avatar has good acting, SFX
Marvel movies don't
I like The Batman and Joker and Iron man 1, that's about it
Thank you for proving my point
Get over your hate boner for blue alien movie
Cinemaphile has rotted your mind, it’s a normal movie, nice movie.
I still can't believe Cameron got away with showing underage animated nudity on the big screen.
>does the highest earning movie of all time appeal to most normal people?
>no, it's actually these random groups of terminally online people that are definitely not the same as me
people like it because it's fun you massive homosexual
They're pretty and that's all a movie needs to do. Everything else is just a bonus. People tend to forget that movies are a visual medium first and foremost.
>doubting james cameron

If Lucas can manage to buy bakc Star Wars for pennies on the dollar, I’d laugh my ass off
That would be funny, but I don't buy those rumors for one second. I was listening to a show earlier that shot it full of holes. >muh collapse is coming
The only thing that's collapsing is your mutt nation's birth rate and your hair follicle count you homosexual millennial.
The first avatar is a masterpiece and way of water is also good
Very good special effects and a decent movie
Graphics nigga.
There will be another big delay after Avatar 3 because Cameron wants to nuke Japan first
Why do we need another Oppenheimer
It will feature family values and naked underage bugs
The US is in a far bigger economic shitpile than people suspect. Japan wants to re-arm, but it's up to the US to allow them. However, the US needs to butter up their allies first, as overall our experience of the Japanese was of a savage swarm of subhuman animals up to their neck in war crimes. tl;dr: it's propaganda.
Cameron heard Nolan was too much of a coward to detonate a real nuke for his movie so he has to do it himself
Can insiders tell us what happened apparently there was a big on set disaster
Never saw the first one but Avatar 2 was one of the worst films I’ve seen in theaters. Wouldn’t even justify a 2 hour runtime, never mind 3

Weak bait all around
it’s not like it’s that hard to understand the plot of the first one you dolt. I haven’t seen it but here is what I know of it

did I miss anything?
None of that shit even happens in the sequel. So why are you calling it a retread of 1?????????
It took me about 30 minutes to realize the plot is pretty much the same, but it's water aliens instead of jungle aliens. They even brought half the characters back to live because of a lack of inspiration, Not sure if it was just a rumor or confirmed that the next one will be fire aliens with most likely the same plot and characters
Watch the clips of him talking about his psychedelic experiences and you’ll understand
>Movies in 2031
>They don't know
how do we convince normies to stop lapping up sequels, prequels, remakes and capeshit so that they come up with something fresh and original for a change, or is the national IQ already too low for that
Here's your fresh and original movie, bro.
You need to spend your life basking in the euphoria of being a noticer, posting about how bad movies are and how bad movie games are and how bad mudsharks are on 4ch all day.
>2031
Cameron will be dead by then.
>Cameron will be spending 35 years of his life working on movies about blue alien cat people
I saw Avatar 1 in theaters on opening night and I was 20 years old. I'll be 42 when Avatar 5 comes out.
Assuming it's not delayed again lol.

Pro tip: it didn't actually make 2billies
What's it like being this delusional every day?
>no cultural impact!!
>2 billion? nah it's gotta be fake!
It's the final cope.
It does have zero cultural impact though. How can you even deny this?
Avatar 3 will make 3 billion and still have no cultural impact. Avatar 4 with make 4 billion and still have no cultural impact.
When it's 2025 and if Avatar 3 comes out by then (BIG IF) there will be tons of people laughing at the fact that they forgot it came out two years prior.
>there isn't menchildren collecting Avatar FunkoPops
Cultural impact is insignificant. Why would you critique a movie based on how much merchandise or memes it spawned?
>these homosexuals think cultural impact is when you make gay homosexual tranny memes with other bald millennials in discord or on twitter
You aren't the MC, no one takes you seriously, no one even knows fags like you exist
i unironically won’t be alive
>capeshit won
Fuck! I made plans to watch it on December 19, 2031
It's incredible that Cameron is wasting the end of his career on this shit.
i'm not an avatar guy, i didn't watch it in theaters but when i watched the movie at home i really did enjoy it. good visuals of course, but also a lot of characters, subplots and just a well paced movie
more excited for avatar 3 now than i was before i saw avatar 2
Imagine how dated Avatar is going to feel in 2031
>I'm going to actually die before I can see Cameron finish Avatar
lol lmao even
well that's not very robust of them
I absolutely do not believe that 4 and 5 will come out that fast.
We're winning bros
>Avatar series will have concluded 22 years after the first film released
American Dad made an Avatar 2 joke at the exact right time when the Cinemaphile meme was at its height. I don't think it was a coincidence. They post here.
It only makes these countdowns more kino, it's gonna be ok...
