Navidson record directed by Aronofsky or Fincher, cut everything else. You don't even need a high budget, the caverns and chambers can be solved with a mix of miniatures and cg, like the mines in Fellowship.
Critics and snobs would hate it, because the whole ironic metastructure of the book would be stripped away.
Is this that book that is written in a spiral while talking about characters walking down a spiral staircase?
Im mostly an audiobook fag but been looking for something to actually read, worth a check out?
>film it in three parts >one is the Navidson Record, which is now "found footage" >one is a documentary and academic deconstruction of the footage >the last is about Johnny Truant >the only way to get the full story is to watch all three at the same time
They made a movie out of "naked lunch" one of the most schizo books ever written by a literal herion junky while completely fucked up.
It actually worked. It's not a bad movie, the fx Are a little cheesy but it's memorable and one of the most quotable movies I've ever seen.
Just pare it down to the Navidson Record portion and the weird house. Most of the rest of the book is just ancillary anyway. HoL isn't like Gravity's Rainbow or something; it DOES have a single coherent story at its core.
how would it even work
It's simple, make half the characters black
It wouldn’t work there is no way to build a house with leaves

I don't know. I remember my high school aired a theatrical production of it 15-20 years ago. I didn't watch it.
on second thought, it may have been the house of blue leaves.
is there an Cinemaphile version?
If it can't be made into an audiobook it sure as shit can't be adapted into a movie or TV show.
>Johnny Truant
Joel Kinnaman
>Will Navidson
Josh Brolin
>Karen Green
Jessica Chastain
Is this an actual page from the book?
Yes
What the fuck does it even say? I can't read more than a line
lots of pages are like that
So pretentious. Cringe.
no, its much better as you read it. kino book
>Gigachad cast as Will Navidson, cuck extraordinaire
bad
I could adapt it

something like that, I've only played the game and the ready the synopsis
I had to read this is college wrote a 10 page paper about it and remember nothing about it now.
It's literally unfilmable

But it relies very specifically on being a written, printed book. How can you translate that without completely losing it?

But House of Leaves isn't just weird, it's specifically reliant on the printed text.

Ah, you watched the Doom video as well
I find it highly unlikely Doomcuck would have ever heard of this book let alone mention it.
He's talking about myhouse.wad
Reddit as the book
It's not though
Corny ass book that only women bring up to sound intelligent
