Irony is if they would just have the balls to make Miles a villain he would be one of the best Spider-Man characters. He has all the qualities of a good villain to be.
He has literally everything has but good. He has a high intelligence like Peter but went to a good school. He has both his parents while Peter just has his aunt. He's rich enough to afford a good school, Peter is not. Miles flunks a test cause he got every question wrong, his teacher gives him a better score, Peter flunks a test cause he spent the last 4 hours fighting Venom, he gets an F. It's almost like they wanted what Batman has (Rogues that mirror Batman) but were too scared to make him a villain so they made him a gary stu character that does everything but better with half the resistance.
He doesn't have high intelligence like peter that's just a dumb meme from the ps4 game, he's canonically too stupid to make webfluid and has Ganke do it for him
Yeah he was given Peter's web shooters, at some point Tony Stark updated them, and Ganke makes all his web fluid (using the formula given to Miles by Peter)
I don't know what the deal is with 616 Miles but in the Ultimate Universe when he first got Peter's webshooters from may he runs out and they make it a point that the first batch Ganke makes for him clogs up
God I miss ultimate Miles, his supporting cast . Ultimate Spider woman. Take me back bros
I have a headcanon version that would compliment and be the polar opposite of Spider-Man. If I was at the helm of writing Miles he wouldn't just be another carbon copy of Peter Parker. I would make him a hot head who has anger issues. Peter Parker would be like the wise old fool who messes with Miles until Miles learns his way as a superhero and being less angry. The tension between some witty Spider-Man with an uncontrollably pissed off teenager with incredible powers would be such a cool dynamic.
Yes and it way more true for a teen-aged Peter than an adult one.
For all his faults Miles is pretty stoic with his emotions while Pete is very open with and about them.
Having a temper is just one of Peter’s character traits though. It’s not a teenage thing that can be just passed off. It’s only post OMD that he lost it and became the spineless wimp he is today
Miles will never become a good character until Marvel decides having him be "brown Spider-man" isn't enough. Either let Peter be older, put Miles back in 1610, move Miles to a different city, reduce Miles to a sidekick, or kill Peter.
None of which marvel will ever do
Miles will never be a good character because he's both black in current year and a race swapped version of a popular character. Normal Spiderman is not limited in the same way because writers don't think of him as a representative of his race.
At one point during a fight, Miles costume got a tear, and some blogger noticed she was gushing about how it's amazing there's a black Spider-Man. Miles watched it and whined a bit that he wants to be more then just Spider-man but black.
The writer of the issue got eviscerated by the Twitter brigade because Miles thinking that was racist.
My Google fu is failing at the moment and I can't find the specific page right now. It was spammed all over /toon/ when it came out so I'm sure someone will post it eventually.

The whole point of that story was to have everyone in universe make a big deal that >Spider-Man is a kid of color now
without having Miles be the one to preach about it.

How'd will people know he's a spider of colour if he wears a full covered suit?

Because the whole thing started with his costume tearing and some e-thot making a big deal about it online just so Miles can complain that he doesn't want to be "Black Spider-Man

Ironically he still just goes around calling himself Spider-Man. Instead of doing like other iterations of him did and rebranding himself

He’d be less marketable that way, and all of the twitter secondaries that claim to like him would stop caring.

I think what would work better for miles is what is dc doing now with Jaime(or what they did with Tim and what Marvel did with some 80s heroes).
Start with a author that had a "good" idea for a miniserie and if it sell well, go slowly into the ongoing.
Trying to go with ongoing is never going to work except if it had a big author(that's why Miles survived or David Supergirl endure being alive until Infinite Crisis).
Miles was always a good character. People just conflate the problem's with ASM to him for some reason. ASM was bad before Miles introduction to the mythos though.
like long before. They were given an opportunity to evolve Parker back in 2016, but they squandered it because they wanted their cake and eat it too. But even then Miles ISN'T hurting ASM. He's practically wholly separate from it. The problem with Spider-man has always been Parker and they're stuck waiting for a sufficiently large enough number to do anything about it. Just more and more lateral movements until #1000.
>Miles was always a good character.
Not really, he has potential but no stakes. He exists in hiw own bubble but said bubble is safe and separate, but his presence adds to the Spidey mythos because he is a Spidey.
He does have solid connections to Peter and they're never used. Not a bad thing because Marvel is intent on dragging Peter through the mud.
The problem with Peter is that Marvel doesn't want him to be an adult, they think that Spider-Man should be a teenager or at the very latest in college but never a full adult.
But they can't de-age him without affecting the rest of the world, so they're stuck with an older Peter who is not what they want.
Part of me blames the Ultimate universe comics for this because Spider-Man was the headliner and retold the character for an early 2000's audience.
If your problems with Miles are mainly about Peter than Miles isn't the problem. That's a pretty simple concept. Miles is the solution to the stagnation of ASM and everyone knows it. You not going to see that happen until #1000.
Who said I had a problem with Miles? I find him bland and inoffensive outside of Marvel doing that whole pandering shit with his ghettoblaster subculture from time-to-time.
Miles is just in his own corner doing his own thing, has an okay supporting cast and is mostly doing teen shit. As you would expect a teen do be doing.
Quantum is his best villain by a mile and overall Miles has okay writing most of the time with only a few hiccus here or there.
I don't mind him but yeah, he's kinda bland and lacks much in the way of flavour aside from his alternate Spidey powers.
The editors and writers right now are Peter's main problem because they, as I said, just seem to have it out for him because he isn't a younger man.
They see that as a problem, but have no workable solution.
>reduce Miles to a sidekick
I think Miles can both be a sidekick and do whatever he's doing right now. I think him not being a sidekick has to do more with editorial not wanting Peter to grow up and get his shit together then having Miles play second banana. They obviously want miles to train undersomeone because he's currently sidekicking for Misty Knight in his book
He has no good runs no good stories and no good villains after spidermen.
He is no different than Speedball but at least Marvel cut that ongoing after 10 issues
Post-Joker Harley
The vast majority.
Joker Harley too.
Bruh, they gave him literal chimp lips what the fuck?
>that what if where he was Thor
>Asgard was a run down ghetto full of graffiti and sneakers hanging on powerlines
>Schizo is afraid
>HE'S AFRAID!
Damn Jake Hamilton, Fox-TV said that!?
>women are terrible
Yes, now fuck off back to 4chan.
They are terrible roasty
I thought we weren't supposed to believe people on FOX???
They're owned by D*sney now, it's okay. They're controlled "opposition."
Jake Hamilton ? THE Hamilton?. Jack Hamilton ? That jack Hamilton!? O_0
Morales chads, how we feeling?
>Morales chads, how we feeling?
certainly not like buying a comic book
Feeling like keying the first truck I see with a confederate flag/sticker b4 I go into the theaters

Well you're half right.
Wtf is a Mioes ?.
>Jefferson Morales (legally changed from Jefferson Davis)
Gwen is trangendered in Spiderverse. So he's also gay as well as the son of a cuck

They're bringing back the ultimate universe anon, I hope they send Miles back there.
spider man with yet another spider type character as an enemy? youd shit on him for that too
The dude is held up exclusively by early NTT, Black Mirror, and Morrison's B&R. He has 0 good storylines as Nightwing.
Freefall, The Great Leap, The hunt for Oracle,...
>Hunt for Oracle
>good
lol
What about Grayson, Better than Batman, or Nightwing Must Die?

this is more peter than Miles.
Yes and it way more true for a teen-aged Peter than an adult one.

The movie is one.
I think you're just saying that to be contrarian. Spider-Verse Miles is beyond better than comic book version.
They're the same thing
Miles will never become a good character until Marvel decides having him be "brown Spider-man" isn't enough. Either let Peter be older, put Miles back in 1610, move Miles to a different city, reduce Miles to a sidekick, or kill Peter.
None of which marvel will ever do
Or...Have him be a villain! He uses his powers to beat up cops and tries to break the system while calling it racist.
Miles will never be a good character because he's both black in current year and a race swapped version of a popular character. Normal Spiderman is not limited in the same way because writers don't think of him as a representative of his race.
>Marvel decides having him be "brown Spider-man" isn't enough
The last author who tried this almost got cancelled. It will never happen.
Explain further.
But why, its acknowledging that Miles should be more than a fucking diversity hire.
Because lefties don't want minorites to have self awareness, just be bludgeons they can use against their political opponents.
Whose the writer? What's the issue? Give sources
My Google fu is failing at the moment and I can't find the specific page right now. It was spammed all over /toon/ when it came out so I'm sure someone will post it eventually.

spider-fags are the worst posters on this board, i hope bendis takes over all the books for the next 5 years
