      How is meditation bad?

        Anonymous

it's not the meditation that's bad, it's the fact that it's an organization that promotes meditation and sees that fricking yogi guy as some god and charge you like 1k for a few sessions. these morons literally think that you can start levitating by practicing hopping like a frog but on your ass

Lynch is practically a yogi himself. He strings together things that appear to have deep meaning and uses this skill to maintain a harem of hot young women.

You don’t get it, money is the root of all evil, so by taking on the burden of collecting money they’re actually doing the world a huge favour.

          >Paying for meditation ever

This was always bizarre to me, like you can just watch a bunch of stuff on it online for free, or you can do something like Vipassana which doesn't charge you anything until after the experience and you just pay what seems fair to you for the food/board and experience. I did a 10 day Vipassana and got food and a bed, and a meditation experience, and I only gave them a hundred bucks because that's all the spare cash I could afford and they were fine with it, some dudes didn't even pay at all.

Some people think that paying for something means you'll learn it better. I started learning a language and used only free resources, then my brother decided to start learning the same language and the very first step he took was buying like $50 worth of stupid books and shit.
Guess who is still learning the language and who gave up after 2 weeks?

It’s strange, one would think the sunk cost fallacy would kind of edge you into sticking with things. But it doesn’t always work. I pay for a personal trainer but frick I’m there every week 4 times a week and don’t miss a day unless I have to.

There's a reason the guru was a fundamental part of meditation in every ancient tradition. Without an initated member you are prone to misuse meditation and get no where. You can sit and focus on your breathe for your entire life but if you actually want to achieve anything with meditation you need some instruction.

Yes anon Patanjali was just wrong and your new age mysticism was the only correct way.
I don't do meditation because I'm not willing to search out a guru at this time in my life..

Doesn't he run a charity foundation? I don't think he actually makes money off of it. He just wants to as many people as possible into meditation.

Transcendental Meditation, it's the second largest cult in Hollywood iirc to Scientology.

and do you have to go to hollywood to learn how to levitate like a frog?

No. Scientology does the same shit. They'll make you pay 10k to learn remote viewing.

I'm not so interested in remote viewing, I think 1k for levitation like a frog is a pretty sweet dreal though.

In hollywood you must either join the israelites, scientologists, or TM. Lynch picked the least worst option.

Lynch only talks about TM when asked to, he rarely mentions it on his weather reports or even in talks

I’m not a believer in TM myself but that goes a long way in proving he’s genuine about it imo
