You gotta help Big Oil do its thing. Give them the licenses to throw baby seals into wood chippers. Is that how you make oil? No, but that's what we're doing.
I'm going to have to expound upon this in Reddit, but this patchy, ill-thought-out energy policy enveloping the US and Europe is the product of a punitive groupthink.

The Lorax must have had an awful production. "Biggering" was way more epic than "How Bad Can I Be?" as it showed the Once-ler's ascent to power out of capitalism's lust for exponential growth. Apparently Ted was also motivated by his desire to see truffola trees and not the girl next door's pussy. Who the hell thought changing that was a good idea? The Lorax could have actually been a good movie and not just remembered for how sexy the Once-ler looked.
Everybody thinks the song "Biggering" was replaced by "How Bad Can I Be?" because it paints capitalism in a far more sinister tone and executives didn't want to release an anti-capitalism flick for impressionable children. I think the suits actually didn't care what message the movie was putting out. The changes made smell of some pathetic exec telling them it needs to be bright and poppy with leads role for Taylor Swift and Betty White because they're popular. Nobody with any sense of taste would prefer Ted's motivation to be over him having a crush to Ted being a budding environmentalist.
The direction of the movie kind of determined the direction of the studio. The original plan was to show the descent to evil as something driven by pride. If that was The Lorax Illumination released, Illumination would be regarded much higher by the public than it is now. But we got The Lorax where they flip a switch to make the Once-ler evil, probably to give it a lighter tone and shove in more jokes.
At least Nintendo is demanding quality from their Mario movie and has Illumination's/Universal's balls in a vicegrip. I bet Nintendo has contracts that would allow them to pull out of the deal at any time and if they do so now then the studio just wasted probably over 100 million USD in production.
I think he's genuinely the best version of Robotnick. Evil looking, but still comical. Can be as serious and dramatic as the writer wants, or as silly.
Normal Robotnick is a better design in terms of appeal, but doesn't really "feel" like a villain compared to American cartoon Robotnick.

Yeah, that’s definitely what makes him stick out. As over the top as he is, he’s arguably the most evil.
>Wanted to drown an entire town just to have a lake view, and wanted to do it himself so he could do some rottenness >Casually sacrificed Scratch and Grounder for the Chaos Emerald of Life, and them surviving was unexpected >Imprisoned a guy and chain him to a wall in his dungeons for years, just because Robotnik’s school crush liked that guy instead >Had no problem essentially nuking half the planet
AOSTH Robotnik is the Jack of all trades, whereas SATAM Robotnik has pretty much one goal in mind and doesn’t tend to get his hands dirty.
>cool design >lives up to the hype and tales told about him >doesn't die or turn good at the end, just respects Rango enough to not frick with him in the future
He's a legit 10/10
Typically heavy handed commentary irritates me, but with Ommadon it’s pretty much perfect. Not only does his power feel unique, but ultimately he wins.
I think we all miss the times when a villain can just straight up be evil.
Nothing wrong with villains with understandable motivations, those can be a fun watch.
Frick twist villains to the moon and back. There have been good ones, but Disney alone made sure the balance is tipped to twist villains being bad ideas.
Most of all, frick cartoons with no villains. Unless if your story is grounded in reality, there is no reason not to have an antagonistic character.
Star Command Zurg is one of my favourite villains >You're telling me my plan. I already know the plan. I made up the plan. It's my plan. What I don't know is how close you idiots are TO ACCOMPLISHING MY PLAN!
I feel like the episode where him and Buzz are pitted against each other showed just how competent he was. >Fought Buzz one on one >Figured out what’s happening quickly, and made Buzz the distraction >Casually destroys the ship and mogs the main villain
I always joke about crying while eating and forcing people to watch. It's a really revolting, odd, uncanny, hilarious image sitting at the bottom of my awareness. I probably will cry.
I really believed in this agency growing up. This is the last of my illusions. Maybe the greatest one. I made a home out of it.
Wheres the bomb mansley
What does Brad Bird have against gingers?
Syndrome's design is based on Brad Bird
Plane
why the long face?
Nox's only problem was that he failed.
>launches a nuke at America
>"villain"
You people are bipolar as frick.
TAKE ME TO CHURCH
This is my thread now
I've got to explain to half of America that we can't whip ourselves into being carbon neutral
Murrlogic frick off
I'm going to have to expound upon this in Reddit, but this patchy, ill-thought-out energy policy enveloping the US and Europe is the product of a punitive groupthink.
Where's Alice, Mansley?
I'm going to eat the FBI. Friends, enemies will watch.
You need to rape the FBI. It’s the only way.
You gotta eat the FBI.
I'm gonna eat the FBI.
So this is what female autism creates
Is this from some ytp?
Man, female autism is somethin' else.

ARE HUMAN
HUMANS MUST BE PROTECTED FROM THEMSELVES!
Thanks a lot
What are Cinemaphile's criteria for a god-tier villain?
>god tier villains
Black person, what? Did you mean to write ‘villains from the god-tier cartoons’? Because as good Iron Giant was, that guy was not.
He was enjoyable as frick so frick you
Snoo-ping as usual, I see?

Best Robotnik/Eggman hands down.
Yeah, that’s definitely what makes him stick out. As over the top as he is, he’s arguably the most evil.
>he’s arguably the most evil
Not the SatAM version?

Also, Julian stole his Roboticizer, whilst AoStH made his portable.

He's a legit 10/10
>god-tier villains
>ctrl + F
>no Frollo
You should burn Cinemaphile.
WHERE'S THE MAN, GIANTSLEY?
We need to go back to villains who are just flat out crazy
Nice. Showed my gf this movie yesterday, and Mansley was her favorite character.
Ommadon from Flight Of The Dragons
Typically heavy handed commentary irritates me, but with Ommadon it’s pretty much perfect. Not only does his power feel unique, but ultimately he wins.
I’ll throw in some great villains from more obscure sources that deserve more recognition.
Captain Hook from Peter Pan (TV show)
Baron Dark from Skeleton Warriors
Skullmaster from Mighty Max
Lord Dragaunus from Mighty Ducks
McLeech from Rescuers Down Under
The Lobe from Freakazoid
The Brain from Teen Titans
I think we all miss the times when a villain can just straight up be evil.
