Is that true that Gigi stepped in? They story I remembered was that jello and the team lost steam for the project because the fandub was more work than their other videos and got less views. That and they understandably started to dislike cq considering they stopped right when the comic was going to shit
That isn't why it died you doof. The comic simply wasn't popular enough or profitable enough to warrant drudging through it. The comic is tremendously appealing to kids but unless you get a Scholastic deal it is hard to make money off of them. I'm sure she wanted to appeal to teens and adults but she misjudged the proper audience for her work.

I actually used to defend that lazy fricker but when the hiatuses between updates became longer and the updates themselves were almost never worth the wait I just gave up.

Well, he gave a new update notice a couple of days ago. And the shirts got finally sent.
But jesus christ, Kaz cant organize for shit.
This goes beyond a lack of planning, it's been more than six fricking years and he's STILL using that shit as an excuse. The worst part of the hiatuses isn't the length though, it's the complete and utter lack of transparency. Kaz just keeps quiets for months at a time and only comes up with a new excuse and apologies just to keep his fanbase strung along.
He managed to get people to help him make all those flash animations. Dude really knows how to string people along.
Dude used that shit as an excuse too, the hack supposedly waited more than half a year for someone to do assets for him and lacked the backbone to pressure them to finish it or find someone new.
I look forward to three more updates of sitting around on a rock arguing with the readers, followed by promises that he's going to focus on the comic for real and this time he means it, followed by another multi-year hiatus (which will most likely be blamed on some moronic experiment that he didn't actually need to do and nobody wanted in the first place). Homestuck was briefly innovative in internet art over a decade ago and that spirit is evident in prequel. Most likely an Innovative artist making internet Comics would help him recover

51 Hundred. If you've ever seen this comic posted here, there's a 98% chance that was me. I've bought the physical print of the first (and only) volume and have been shilling it for years in the hopes that the author becomes inspired/encouraged/decides to come back. But alas, it's been over half a decade and still nothing. Still, I delusionally hold out hope for its return. Whether it be 5, 10, or even 20 years from now, I genuinely believe this has the potential to be one of the greats... if it ever resumes, that is.

No Rest for the Wicked, a weeaboo comic about fairy tale characters with my favorite rendition of Little Red Riding Hood as an edgy axe murderer who may also be a werewolf. Plus Ricardo was a gem whenever he showed up.
Also Kagerou, the old weeaboo isekai about a messed up psychic with a dead rapist living in his brain. I guess technically it still updates at a glacial pace but I think the intersexed /b/-tard of an author forgot where the plot was going anyway.
