      This

      every Stephen King adaptation

      This

Poor bait, but it was definitely one of the best remakes.

      Dawn Of The Dead (2004)

      >movie slowly goes downhill after the first half until it’s ultimately on par with the original

      Nope

Both the original Evil Deads and the remake are great in their own rights. It's the only series I can think of where every single entry is slightly different in tone and approach but thats whatbmakes each one unique and they're all great in their own rights that each one is great.

From the trailers I feel like Rising is gonna be another awesome and unique entry into the series.

Honestly, you take the simple plot of people reading the necronomicon in a unique and interesting setting and unleashing deadites to wreak havoc is a recipe for success. Like the Predator series it benefits from different styles and locations.

the original evil dead gives me a headache every time i try to watch it

      Begin any time, OP.
      Great thread.

Evil Dead 2 is not the original, zoomzooms, it's Evil Dead 1.
You know, Evil Dead 1, the serious horror movie that was so laughable and bad that Raimi remade it as comedy-horror with Evil Dead 2?

      That one.

        >dumb homosexual thinks ED2 is a remake
        >dumb homosexual thinks ED1 didn't have intentional comedy despite paying homage to Three Stooges
you're so dumb I've got douchechills. I can only imagine having to interact with you regularly and the thought is nauseating - how bad you must smell every day from being too moronic to clean your ass.

Sam and Ted themselves said that ED1 wasn't supposed to be comedy, they wanted to make a serious horror movie, that's why they made a short called Within The Woods which got good reception.
ED1 was unintentionally humoristic which is why ED2 is a remake/reimagination of ED1.

          Keep on coping on.

Didn't like it, turned it off. Evil Dead 1 is decent but 2 is great.

I like this but I've never seen the original, is it good?

      obviously

      Same as above

      Dawn Of The Dead (2004)
      >first 30 minutes is better than anything in the original
      >movie slowly goes downhill after the first half until it’s ultimately on par with the original

      Atrocious remake, incredible original.

Poor remake, good original, but honestly on the weaker end of classic Argento for me.

      I like both the same.

No, Mia (the girl in the cover) actually gone for 90% of the movie.
She shows up at the start of the movie being raped by demonic vines and then she starts to get possessed which her friends just say that it is a normal reaction to heroin withdrawal, then when she gets really crazy/fully possessed they lock her in the basement.
She stays in the basement for the majority of movie, only showing up occasionally to taunt the other people.
She is the sole survivor when her brother manages to cleanse her soul by following the instructions scribbled on the Necronomicon pages. And she does kill the weakling demon that rises from the ground with a chainsaw, but it is not a girl boss flick.
